I too had a serious problem with Highway: my E30 316i was insured through them. I had a slide off a local road at 10mph (yes - honestly) and bent o/s/f wing, front valance and engine mount.
They too the car to an assessors in Swansea, after I'd already told them that rather than writing it off I wanted it repairing: next thing I'm on the phone doing a magazine interview when a bod from the assessors says 'get down here and clear it ouit - the scrappy's taking it away!'
So I call Highway, give them some gyp and even had to resort to telling them what I did for a job, and they then brought the car back - 20 miles, and charged me £80 for the pleasure!
