Bench seat AND an armrest. Awesome stuff! When you get it retrimmed in tweed, make sure you get some nice tan vinyl patches on the outer corners...just that the standard issue Geography teacher jackets from the 70's and 80's. Good work Dude - its looking super cool now with the right kind of seating for the style of van...just perfect for you and your pink loving friend to cozy up to each other on your road trips You need to put up the pic of the mobile 'Northern Hot-tub' ;D

This old girl is still providing me with sterling service, she just rolled over to 174K the other day I haven't really done a great deal with it to be fair, its just been a supremely reliable ace truck. However! I might manage to change all that with the impending 4G67 engine swap, I'd also like to go to 16 or 17" wheels to get a bt of ground clearance back, as well as a new pair of wings and a front valance

Just wondering how this rides being lowerd? Been looking into Hilux's and semms they really need the rear chassis notching when you start to get this low as the axle hit's the chassis. Also, let me know if you have any plans of selling it

I have had a week of 12 hour nights at work this week, not good! However, I got a slack shift last night so took the bench seat in and gave it a good dose of looking at Foam removed from base - the upholstery is held on with loads of little metal 'circles', that took a right getting off with my long nose pliers, result is that I now have blisters all over my hand! Anyway, I measured nd measured and made a template then cobbled up some brackets and welded them to the frame. No pics i'm afraid as I was 'in the zone' I tried it all for size when I got home from work this morning, then refitted the foam and upholstery, and bolted it all in I need to give the fabric a good clean as it has a few marks from storage, but it'll be getting recovered at some point anyways in the original tweed so i'm not too fussed Monty400k, they're made by SSR. Mike Grrr i've been avoiding the nigling need for a bench seat in me P100 and posts like this don't help ;D Really needs a column change gear stick next, bench seats and column changes go so well together

looking good, you've definatly made my mind up about fitting a bench seat in mine.
Just need to figure what to do with the hand brake tho, i've got the newer shape l200 and the handbrake is between the seats, so thats gonna need moving to a suitable location, and then we can crack on. Another thing that is a bit of a problem is i have built a false wall behind the seats with all my system in, and the 7x10s just poke through the gap in the seat, bench means it will be all muffled sounding.
excuse for some more speakers maybe... running out of space tho,
i really need to get a readers ride page sorted

i just thought, normally bench seats have the little notch where the gear lever is, and this doesnt, does the stick hit the seat or get in the way at all?
