What wheels for my Trans Am...10mpg

the Snowflakes on my trans am realy don't suite the earlier shape imho, so i'm considering other options, don't want to spend a fortune, I'm not much of a wheel whore, I just like the right rims on the right car would prefer them in the £0-400 range... I don't want anything modern, wa thinking of something simple like these.. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrome-Blade-American-Car-4X4-Wheel-Rim-/200544340857?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item2eb15fcb79Would go for some meaty Turbovecs but not sure if they'd suit? obv these are not for a T/A just for example... For once (in my entire life) I don’t fancy slotmags, again I just don’t think they'd work, (though I'm prepared to be proved wrong), and I hate 'stanced' muscle cars, so I don't want any kind of big 'n littles... don't fancy corvette wheels as they look wrong on a TA as they stand out as 'vette wheels... Obv if you have something tasty hiding in your lockup for sale g'us a holla! Cragers or torque thrusts are the obvious choices, if I can find some cheap, i'm just not spending a grand on wheels on principle!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... CRAGARS! And... Modern torq thrusts, older style straight torq thrusts, and cragars - the three wheels that suit any US iron...

Yeah i saw them, thanks for the link though, not sure about the style, but they are definitely too small, i'd rather have 7 and 8's as a minimum, i think.. Yeah love 'em but like i said i'm not gonna spend a grand on wheels, i can just think of better things to do with it! I like nice wheels, just not that much!

You can get billet reproduction versions of the original wheels in almost any size. They absolutely rock.
I'd be looking at them myself, assuming you don't want slot mags on it

Yeah seen the billet's, they kick some serious ass, however they also cost some serious wedge, if i had the 77 nose on mine i'd be considering something like that, but the bullnose needs classic rims..
Not sure on the slot mags AK, I'd have to see some done how I like, i.e. not big'n littles, a nice deep set with the fronts maybe an inch narrower than the backs...
D'ya still have your sawblades for sale?

The billet version of the bullnose wheels looks nice on the bullnose. You can get them repro in correct size and in cast alloy IIRC. They just look right. I have't sold the sawblades. Make me an offer or something... I'd also consider NASCAR style black steels on yours.

Not yet overdrive! I bought it with all the expensive stuff done (let the PO take the brunt of the cost of modifications, heh) but there's lots of little things and fettling that needs doing. Was being built for racing in San Jose. My sig will change when I start one... OT: Your sig = hilarious

Ooooooooof that black T/A looks the billy curse word....
what size do you reckon they are? I cant even decide if they're 15 or 16's...
I like the keystone classics, not sure they'd suit the car tbh..

ooh yeah they're lovely overdrive, how much and where from...? Looks like Lewis has got a set of Crager Soft-8's there, same as me. I'm a Crager whore and buy them new, they are very good value for money. There's only one official importer in the UK: www.raceways.co.uk/American_Wheels.htm

Ooooooooof that black T/A looks the billy balderdash.... what size do you reckon they are? I cant even decide if they're 15 or 16's... I'd guess they were 15s looking at the tyre profile. Also from MWFs link, These.
