So, I thought I'd share with you guys some pictures of my stupid car. Picked it up originally from an old lady who kept it in her garage and only used it to go to the shops once a week. So zero rust and only 53k miles! It's a 1.3ohv Popular, not even a cigarette lighter was standard. I've fitted remote central locking and alarm/immobiliser, got a badass soundsystem in there and just messed about with it to make it look cool. 88 Recaro bucket seats, Stupidly loud 'AWOOOGAHHH' horn Crystal ball gear knob Nelson Mandela air freshener Ashley backbox from an XR3 Tiny Mountney steering wheel Side/bumper trims removed Fluffy bonnet Glow in the dark stars on the inside of the roof Anyway here's some pictures, in rough chronological order. Then things started getting more interesting/sillier Then I got some badass slotmags Arches! And as it stands now! Whaddya reckon?

Matching front arches and more lows and you'll have a winner for sure

I've got the front arches and I've offered them up, they just didn't look as good with the front ones on!
And I'd love to give it more lows, but those wheels are just silly wide, 7x13 +5 offset on the front, and 8x13 -15 offset on the back. Its my daily so I do need it to be a tiny bit driveable haha

Ah, an OFWGWKTA fan That is absolutely mint, only thing I'd do is put the orange indicators back in and that's it really. The mismatch arch reminds me of the Hakosuka GT-R.

its a shame this ones been ruined. There cant be many of those left in one piece considering how many were made. Whats the rust situation like? don't get me wrong i do like it, its just that it looked like such a clean example to do that to but hey-ho its yours. enjoy

Yeah I've kept the orange indicators, I think you're right!
I work for XL Recordings, I've met Tyler a few times!, he's a rad dude.
I had one of the HUGE Goblin stickers on the back, looked a bit much though haha

Ah, that sounds like an awesome job, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. Also, Spongebob, might be worth re-reading the Modus Operandi, RR is a 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything' kind of place I believe

It was and still is an immaculate example, there's not a speck of rust on it. also, everything I've done is reversible, (bar some tiny holes in the rear quarters for the arches). the fluffy bonnet is a spare, I've still got the mint original one. it's even got the original spare wheel and tool kit which has never been used!

I actually love the bonnet. But I'd definitely lose the scene roofrack. Apart from the roofrack that's one smart daily driver.

The roofrack is a proper 70's Ford one, I've actually got a load of use from it.

Ah well if you're actuly using it as a proper instead of carting a black and White telly and a beerkeg about, that's fair enough. Numerous times I've ridiculed Zafiras and the likes for being scene and having a roofrack. Although I can't speak much about being scene as I drive a vw breadvan!

That's differant from the norm I'm from a generation where the Mk4 is still modern and allways will be (just sold mine to get a later "modern" Mk5) so i don't see it as a shame to do that to a clean one, i see it as a refreshing change. I can see why some would see it as a shame but even on cars of an earlyer era i like to see a change from the norm and a low spec model is the best start to a car you are foing to make your own, wrecking a Ghia or RS qould be borderline shame but on a low spec model. mod away i say ;D

He did say the mods were reversible so the car isn't in any worse state than when he purchased it. It would be a rather boring world if people just kept cars standard. But each to their own.
