I want one of these, stockish body, OEM two-tone paint, some sexy wheels, a few JDM bits and well-sorted brakes and suspension. And a decent engine setup, nothing ridiculous or groundbreaking, 3-400 bhp. A bit like any of these: That, and a Bee*R rev limiter, too:

Just so you know, that isn't a PS13. Strictly it's an S13 with an RS13 front. "P" denotes an SR motor where that is a KA24DE+T(-urbo). People just use "PS" to note a 2-door, even though they know it's the wrong terminology.

Technically the op is a sil80 after a fashion. (genuine sil80's being built under license by a company called Kids heart in Japan when the conversion became popular due to the cheaper s13 front end and crashing a lot) Still awesome though and I love the colour combo.

I thought a sleight was the other way round. A Silvia front end on a 180/200/240sx and a 180/200/240sx front end on a Silvia was called a Onevia.

I believe that Onevia's were also factory built for a time as well. For the US market they got the 240SX, iric this never got the silvia front end and only got the 180SX front end. But they got both the hatch and coupe bodies. Hence making some of them a Onevia from the factory. Also from what I've read the offical Sileightys were never made by Nissan directly, they were taken from the factory as a 180SX then a tuning company Kids Heart did the swap and some were sold though the Nissan dealers. Again iirc they made 500 offical ones in total.

why do those front inner arch ('tubs') look like they've been tacked in place...?

why do those front inner arch ('tubs') look like they've been tacked in place...? Looks like short bursts of weld to not blow holes in it to me, weld an inch, stop, wait, weld an inch, stop, wait etc. And just looks messy as it's awkward to get at? That's what it looks like to me then. I'm very confused by the way these cars are labelled, but I like them all.
