A neighbour has one, a 92, 2 seater convertible, hood stows away where the rear seats should be, roll bar like a Stag, will post pics at w/end. Never seen one before, looks like a proper factory version. Owner reckons they're mega rare Anyone know more about them?

Spyder i think, theres meant to be only two in the uk. One used to have a 220bhp GTti engine in it, but that was removed when it was sold.

I've also seen a convertible Mk1 Charade - don't know if it was factory or not though. It had a similar roll bar, but not the top edges of the doors and the hood sat on top of the rear seat area rather than folding away.

The Mk1 convertible was a much more common i think, much more square and with a993cc carbed 6 valve turbo engine.

Identical to the one in the photo Blownimp except his is on standard alloys, think it was K-reg before it was re-registered, he has it a while but he crashed it ages ago, only got it back a few days ago, had to break a Gtti hatchback for parts to repair it.

There's 2 Charade GTti convertibles, also a German company did conversions for the regular Charade.
There's also a few Charade Turbo convertibles, the old prefacelift Charade type. I was all set to buy one but then the Classic appeared. curse word.
