Love it!!!! IMO they should have given it a (bigger?) gearbox raise and extended spring plates to reduce the toe-in a bit. The camber I like

Is there actually a front tyre on that thing?! It's pretty nice but for some reason that front wheel arrangement isn't quite to my taste. I think i'd prefer smaller wheels and a bit more rubber on show.
Either ways, awesome.

That's what I'd call 'rat look'

hmmmm I realy would love to say that works for me but it just doesnt. I'm a huge aircooled fan, I love ghias, But that just doesnt look right in my eyes. IN echoing what others have said. It does Look "BROKEN". It looks like someones just adjusted the whole lot down without knowing what they are doing and its sat on the bumpstops/ bumpstops removed... Id like to see it a little off the ground rather than trying so hard to lay pan. That way the rear wheel situation might even itself out... And then theres the fact its a lovely lowlight ghia rotting away

It is just now, that I notice that the roof is perfectly finished in contrast to the rest of the body

With smaller wheels and a slight raise in height (yes I know...) I'd roll in that quite happily in its current state .

Great resurrection! I'd love an early ghia that sat like that! Though I'd probably run it on Porsche 5 stud cosmics. With big and little rubber.

Just hit the switch and you are on ride height even it looks broken to some, there is serious engineering involved, such as: -raised and shortened chassis head -dropped steering column -narrowed beam w single bag airride setup -tranny raise -custom unibolt rear setup -all wheel wells modified to fit -so on, so on when in full driving mode the front and rear wheels are perfect alligned, no camber, no toe in. however it is cooler to drive is slammed ;D @retrowagen: its not a lowlight

Missed this first time round. Wow, how amazing would that look in all-gloss black with a white tuck and roll interior...

'sigh' You say tomato, I say toma... That doesn't work when written does it? Anyway, love it. I'd also never noticed the roof before, lovely contrast. What are the holes at the back of the sills for? Exhausts? Did they ever make a soft top Karmann Ghia?

Karmann Ghias usually do strange things to my gentleman's area, but I think this just looks a little try-hard.
I want to love it, but I just can't quite manage it.

I dig it, but if it had smaller wheels with skinny whites it would be a whole world nicer. I am also a huge fan of neg cambered vws, but the fact that the wheel pulls forward at full drop coulda been avoided..it also deserves a nicer paint and a sweet interior, nothin fancy, just clean. But not my car, n as long as the owner's happy thats good enuff 4 me. top marks for the work, allday everyday
