I notice people have trouble with the kickstart. That is because from looking at original spec ATC's they have a lawnmover type pull cord instead. Anyone know if the pull cord starter will fit a standard C50/70/90 engine ? Paul H

The pull cord side cover will fit but the short lever as i fitted to this one was the best solution for me, but you have to use it standing up off the bike facing backwards and push with your right toe, worked every time for me then! We had a genuine 54mph out of this lil beast (sat nav verified) plus one concussion quite a bit of blood an egg shaped bruise on a head and a few sprains when idiots forget the golden rule of trike riding which is 'NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER ever put you foot down' as the rear wheels will ride up your calf and mash your ankle up! The plastics were cut down ones of a Yamaha Banshee as there's only so much mud I can take down the back of my neck... Banshee, in road trim, actually this one was a pig and i spent hours fixing it, but it looked ace! Word to the wise Bruce, when it stops smoking it's usually out of engine oil!

Oh wow, I forgot about this ;D. You remember, the conversation that went "They're great because they'll throw you off as you corner and then run you over..." Interesting definition of "great" Looks like a load of fun, I can't wait to see the plans for it.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Actually I found the experience of trying to do stupid stuff with this much similar to my old 911, insofar as 'brave pills' were the best wasy to stay safe, 99% of the accidents of this were from people chickening out and trying to put a foot down or not throwing their weight into a corner, with a bit of practice and some of the aforementioned brave pills, I found it cornered really well, much better then ANY comparable quad, you could turn it so fast and so quick it was hilarious and great fun, if you just sit there like a pudding and give it full welly, then complain when you hit a tree you have only yourself to blame, shift your weight properly to allow one rear wheel to slip and keep some weight out front so the front wheel doesn’t come up and they will corner flat out anywhere!

Word to the wise Bruce, when it stops smoking it's usually out of engine oil! Aha...you see it's these dodgy sellers palming off their tat with no oil in the engines ;D Some good advice so far and great to see some others people have/have had. Phil, you've got a very similar scheme to how I am planning mine (NATO & black) although I think everyone probably knows why I'm going that route? I want to get the mechanical and wiring tweaks done before pulling things apart and making it match the Delica. Plans are also afoot for a carrying/transport system. Nothing fancy, but it should work quite well. Most of all, I just want to keep things fairly simple and have fun with it. That's what their all about after all.

Some inspiration... Got some more photos somewhere, also had the honda 90 engine and a rear disk conversion from a piaggio scooter. Towbar for pulling a small trailer and headlight for messing about at night. Great fun on it, most memorable moments include spending two hours strapped to a spinal board after I walked into casualty on a monday morning having been sent there by work as I came off the back of it on the sunday halfway up grasby quarry wall.... If you fit the kickstart as shown, you can use it as a pullstart! Oh and the seat is sat on a piece of stainless sheet bent and drilled as the plastics from the rear and the mudguard sold on ebay to some guy in america for more than the trike cost me. Mud everywhere but if you wear an old jacket who cares.... More pics on the bikepics page.... www.bikepics.com/members/bitemyshinymetalass/84atc70/

The electric start honda 90 motor, or one of the chinese copies fits though and the battery can easily be accomodated in the rear section of the frame.
