Yep, the cars weigh naff all (about 1.5kg) so if they were RWD, they'd just donut and not move. The biggest advancement with RC drift tech is called Countersteering or CS, where you fit front hubs which allow a LOT more steering lock, combined with a locked rear diff, or some form of transmission overdrive (aka making the rear wheels spin at a faster rate than the front wheels). It means you can enter corners slower but with a lot more angle.

Totally didn't just buy the 240z. You Hero! I await the Build Thread with anticipation! I posted some of the photos on Octane (.ie, nothing to do with the mag) and one of the lads there mentioned he was interested in startind RC drifting, so I'm selling him my TT01! It's OK though, I've plans for resurrecting one of my MChassis hybrids for drift duty, once I've sorted the Hell Kitty. EDIT: Just watched the Boso cars vid, that's ace Garry!

You Hero! I await the Build Thread with anticipation! Lol, will do, still got to get all the extra parts you need yet. Wanted a 2002 really but could only find the 240z and the AE86 so will have to get a 2002 shell seperately, or perhaps a Stratos one...

Pretty sure I spotted the 2002 shells on eBay for about £35. Yeah the shells on their own appear to be pretty easy to get, it's the complete kits that are hard to find.
