bought this back in jan 10 to be my lil daily but only driven it a few times then moth balled it and started to fettle
started out as a 899 8v engine with a cracked head so that was sorted then drive around for abit by someone else
how it looked
started by stripping it down and pulling loom out to change it all for a sporting loom as i decided to go for a 16v engine
was taken apart cleaned and checked for rust then all undersealed
was a hole there so fixed that and removed battery tray
was toying how to have it looking - like this is larger steelies orange indicators
an old pic without loom in
old mc and servo
stripped floor of sound proofing - every little helps
these where 14 by 5.5 but now got 6j to go on
these 14 6js took an age to find, got to wrap them in 195 45 14
how it sat for a while, ran but i just wasnt happy, heater unit dumped
gauges stuck inside the dash where heater controls would of been, plastic welded in then smoothed
abit
also stuck on PGT brakes all aound blasted and rebuilt
front 240 solid to 257 vented now painted black
rear 220 drum to 240 solid disk and ally calipers
i applaud you if you have read upto here with my rambling on
then decided as its running il redo engine bay and engine to make it look nicer
start of strip
loom on its way to being tucked needs supporting and thats near enough it
then onto shiney bits, oil filler cap is a 1 off and pics don't do it justice
current engine as it stands
last item thats been finished is the brake servo- from hammer wibblepoo red to gloss black
after paint
and after flatting and polishing, slight sanding marks still but more polish ;D
black engine bay next
done plenty more but rambled on enough
