That is epic paintwork. Can anybody identify the little satin black hatch in the background of the 8th photo? I thought it was a Honda but after a closer look i'm not sure.

That rear end shot is sensational, I'm trying to figure out if you could do a whole car and make it look right... Man I like that. Good find

I had been looking at that photo in the NRNR thread. Symmetrical in pattern but not colour. I was trying to work out that if I were doing it how the heck would I plan it?! Such a massive amount of work. I think I'd prefer the car all one colour (or at least much more subtle) from the stripe line down rather than the more complex sweeps and curves along the flanks as that would let the geometry of the stripes rule.

YES!!!!! Been looking for some more info after seen pics from the Yokohama show. So much work!! I agree that I would have prefered the sides one color, with the mexican roof.

i always find chicano style lowriders a bit of a sensory overload.
on a 70s/80s body style its fine, they're big and square and ugly anyway so it can only improve things, but on a 50s body style thats good looking to start with, i think it just detracts from the lines of the car. all those swirls on the side just confuse your eyes.
the back view does look good though, i think it would look awesome done as a roof panel on a 60s body style as previously mentioned.

I thought it was a Honda but after a closer look i'm not sure. Well I've already crossed Fiat Cinquicento and Daihatsu Charade off my list of possible candidates. It's similar to both, but not the same. Could be some obscure kei car I guess.

Sorry to dig up and old thread but I just stumbled across this. The car was actually painted by Lifestyle in Yamanashi ls-custompaint.com/The guy there does amazing work, I've seen some bikes and helmets he's worked on and it was mind blowing. I'd been hoping to get some more pics of this car sometime but the workshop that I would see it at appears to have shut down, it's starting to look a bit derelict EDIT: I'll try to re-upload the original pics again next week. I lost a lot of data due to an issue a little while ago.
