Thought I'd provide a progress report.
Things are amazing! I've sold nearly 1,000 tins of wax, as well as hundreds of moustache combs, over 1,000 stickers with my logo are out there in the ether...
I've got a couple of thousands of £ invested in stock, enough raw ingredients to make several thousand tins, almost £1k in stamps (Yes a franking machine would look more professional but would push costs up significantly)..
And it all started from just a few hundred quid.
I've had to turn the spare bedroom back in to an office, and have taken over another room at my parents house for bulk storage of stock.
I've re-negotiated with suppliers for better terms for bigger orders, have credit accounts with suppliers who offer it, and... I couldnt be happier!
I've sold to nearly 50 countries, have supplied the Army, Navy, and RAF, sent dozens of tins to Afghanistan...
So yeah, things are going great!
The only negative, which TBH isnt that much of a negative is the hard work that goes in to keeping everything running smoothly. Now that I'm so well prepared, I dispatch every order I get same day until 5pm, which keeps people very happy.... Luckily my day job finishes around 2 to 3pm, so gives me a little time to get things done.
Then there is the time it takes to manufacture the wax, package it in to tins, label it, pack it in its little bag with its info sheet...
And the big question... what am I going to do with all the profit I'll eventually make? I'm seriously considering buying a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, having it sign-written in a fantastic 70's style, and use it as my 'company car'. ;D
A massive thanks to everyone on here for their support, the dozens of early orders you guys placed gave me the motivation to keep going and not pack it in after a month. Its been 6 and a bit months now, and I've got 6 weeks to get prepared for Movember.
Heres to another amazing 6 months. Cheers guys!
