Bit of a "break it, fix it or scrap it" question.
My sister in law's got a black X-reg Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 Twin-Spark Veloce. It's an unwelcome car, for various reasons - has been sat on the drive for about a year as a non-starter having allegedly jumped a tooth (diagnosed by RAC, I've yet to look over the car).
From memory it's clean. I last drove it around June last year. It's got the semi-auto gearbox, grey leather.
To go and look at it to make my own mind up on it, it's going to be something of a faff. It's in Birmingham, I know I can't drive it anywhere (SORNed and MOT expired), and it's not a car I'm interested in particularly.
However, is it worth me getting some pics and proper details, potentially worth more than scrap money to anyone, or shall I just tell her to scrap it as that's about the best she'll get for it?
From memory it had the cambelt done a couple of years back. Not sure about the variator being done.
So assuming trim, body, wheels etc. are all good, best case scenario? TBH I've veered towards "scrap" as I can't see a 156 TS without a manual box being worth more than £500-700 anyway.
