www.farecla.comexplains it all under "products" Its not quite as simple as the higher the number the finer the compound as some are for specific paint types (eg G6 is designed for cellulose) Thanks Alistairk Thats what I love about this place - ask a question and 99.9% of the time you get - a good reply - a website link with more info The 0.01% time you get a witty/funny comment which I don't mind either!!!!

Whilst we are thread-jacking, who wants to explain this 'mopping' to the slow kids at the back of the class. Obviously it's not this.... Tentatively sticks hand up from back of the class - me too Been looking at the site for instructions on use....... We talking soft cloth here or mechanical assistance

Looks great, looks "fresh out the box" in that pic. Its the little details like that that make people who arent into cars think "thats a tidy old motor".

Mopping would refer to using an electric (or air) powered spinny disc tool with a soft "mop" which you apply the polish with. I use mops attached to a bench grinder for my work and there's loads of different mop fabrics and polishing compounds available depending on what sort of finish you want to acheive.
