Any chance of some pics with the bed set up? Been thinking about one of these converted into a micro-camper for ages, might be too small for a double though... You might squeeze a double in, so long as your short! Or maybe get a folding drivers seat too? I have a thin foam mattress I lay across the bed when its down and have my feet on the passenger seat end and its comfy and roomy! Bed stashed away And it folded out It needs tiding up cosmetically but its there really. Lots of storage cubby holes and also working on a smaller style cupboard on the right of this photo, needs some doors but gives an idea.....plus it'll hide my sub and amp (maybe even my speakers if I'm clever! Thanks for all your interest and comments, I know its not everyone cup of tea and not really a major project, but its mine and I'm getting braver with my fettling!!! Rob That's given me soooo many ideas, thanks dude

So yesterday my radiator hoses exploded so ended up doing mostly this...... It might not look like much to most of you, but I've never taken apart the front of a car so its quite an achievement to get it looking like this, and satisfaction in knowing I've fixed the problem for free instead of going to a garage!!!!!

I'm loving this thread for some reason! Looks comfy to sleep in and best thing is it doesn't look like a camper so you can park up without attracting "oi you can't camp here mate" issues.

The stealth camper!! its a great idea..and its a unique type of modified car...you can show off its modified side at shows and if it rains all night you have no worries, meanwhile you can laugh at meer mortals in their tents. i like this a lot.

As it happens, any beam of this design I've taken apart hasn't been an issue! but the 106/205/309/306/zx have been rather more stubborn to say the least. its the same as a 405 beam nearly.

Mine was total pig, dispite being an 04 plate. We ended up dropping the whole rear beam and sledgehammering the trailing arms out.

Wow, thanks for the awesome input guys, its been quiet on this for a while with funds and just using it daily. You words have given me some mojo back. The stealth camper works well, and it has already successfully infiltrated a cricket pitch, hockey tour, pub car parks and rock face layby's! (I really don't like that belingo......far too neat and old man looking!! Needs stickerboming or rollering!!!)
The lowering sounds like hard work with the torsion bar, i have herd and read various accounts of how to do it, how much of a pain it is. I could use 306 lowering springs on the front too as an even cheaper option i assume??? 50mm should do the trick I recon! Might tackle this with the help of my bro later on in the year when i have more time. The wheels are also very think, so maybe get the 14" wheels i have banded and stuck back on.....i've also been told a 306 raylle engine goes in this easily, but that is just the stuff of dreams really!
I have reverted back to the original peugeot badge for the time being as the Decepticon just wasn't doing it for me (and was scaring my mates kid because he kept thinking it would come to life and destroy their house....amazing!)

Hello!
I'm back, but bearing bad news, well a lot of news!
The van was sold for parts as the desiel pump gave up, and spat desiel into the altnator, are would have cost £££££'s so i decided to let it go, I belive its only the road somewhere as the guy who bought it was going to do the work on it and put it back on the road,
In other news have also moved house, split up with the misses and had a stroke, which at 29 i thought was a bit rude. I'm recovering now but that explains my lack of updates, life has a habbit of getting in the way!
So i have bought a not so retro 2009 Citroen Dispatch, which i plan to make into a camper in much the same style as this one. Maybe i can track my progress on here, but its not retro so unsure what the admin team would make of it......
