Sunday saw me and my mate head over to Stoneleigh for the annual kit car show in my Rickman...free entry for kit car drivers and a reduced price for kit car passengers,a saving of £20 between us,result. It was amazingly sunny so please excuse the poor quality of the photos,my point & squirt camera wasn't quite up to the task. Right! better put up some pics. Ginetta G21. Ginetta G32. Gilbern GT. AC 3000M. GTM.

I think this was a Dunsmore but am happy to be corrected but whatever it was it was cock on. Minus,a pair of,the grey one only let down by it's brush painted finish. One of the many, many Cobra-a-likes. A Lotus Elan+2 in stunning yellow with silver metalflake roof as it came from the factory.

One of the more convincing Gentry TFs. P4. A real Morgan. Moto-Guzzi engined JZR's. Sammio? A re-bodied Triumph Herald or Vitesse.

NG TC. Very convincing MGA rep. Another Cobra.Wish I had a better pic as the paintwork was stunning. An unmolested Rochdale Olympic. Clan Crusader in Pistachio Green.

Good show. Really mindblowing to see all the cobra's and sevens parked together. I will upload some more, but for now this:

Super Novas. A Spyder and a Speedster. Not an RS200. I think this Dutton was hoping for a biblical amount of rain.

...and finally a few non-kit cars. No idea, you'll have to fill in the make and model yourself but it sure were pretty. Beep - Beep. V8 Pop. Great big beautiful Chevy. A nice little A pick-up. B Sedan. I think this is a Hillman. A Jeep,or is it Geep? That's it really although there are a few more here. s7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/tremor63/Stoneleigh%202012/?start=all

It's years since I went to Stoneleigh. Old kitcars still seem to have a following.
I particularly like the Ginettas, NG TC, AC3000ME, and Rochdale Olympic.
Plus you caught a Reliant Scimitar Coupe in the background of the Olympic shot.

I went along on the Monday. I think I picked the wrong day tbh, cos there was hardly anything parked outside. I was rather dissapointed tbh, but I guess it's understandable as most of the cars are soft tops/no tops so had buggered off home due to the rain!

I'm not really a kit car fan but that T70 spyder looks beautiful. The larger wheels and tyres and plain colour make it seem like it's not trying too hard to look like a replica...just a blinkin' good looking car.

Looks like a nice little variety of cars. An unmolested Rochdale Olympic. Not sure I'd call it unmolested, it's a pretty extreme reworking of the Olympic. Scorpio 24v engine, auto box, reworked suspension, new interior and flared arches. Still, it was all done by the original designer, back in the mid 90's, so it sits ok with the purists (unlike mine!).

Sadly, you didn't made a picture of the two Olympics 45 degrees to the right.
Epic Porsche 930 Turbo styling on that two.

Nice shots mate!
Especially like the AC 3000ME. And the Dunsmore.
And there's something about "aesthetically challenged" old 70's kits that just makes me want one...!
