Right boys and girls..
Long time lurker, never really post but I thought Id start a thread...
( Ive bought 4 cars off this forum so far and have no project threads but this might warrent one )
Anyway..
I have a 1984 Mettallic Brown Nissan Micra, originally a 3speed AUTO, and under 50k on clock!... I would go so far as to say it very rare in this condition..
Few points of the car.. ( ill have missed a load but ill update as I remember )
1st year of release in UK, with every optional extra from the factory..- bar sunroof! ( MW-LW radio with door speakers, Digital clock, rear wiper, inntermitent front wipe, rear de-mister, optional passenger storage compartment, rear ashtrays )
VERY good condition.
Had a problem with the carb letting the car die when warm and statonary, so wanting to repair and improve the, already good economy, I opted for a modern engine.
I fitted an super good condition, SR20 from a Almera GTI a few months back, and been driving as a daily since.. Economy has increased from around 40mpg with the 1.0 Auto, to around 55/57mpg with the SR20..
Around town, the engine is doing very little more than idleing and you can mooch about in 5th, and it pulls with effortlessly .. Barly touching the pedal.. Max 5% throttle in most of the driving..
It SHOULD be pushing round the 170 bhp mark with the remove of all the original engine restrictions, inc aircon and p/s.. and with some fettling and managment tweaks ( engines are 145/150bhp standard )
The, intake kit, 4,2,1 Manifold, and Scorpion Catback are freeing up a couple of bhp too..
At the moment its a standard interior and Body ( gear stick replaces the auto shifter obviously ) and even standard 12'' wheels..
Brand new coilovers and wheels are in the pipline within the next few days.. my boso arches have arrived which enables me to actually fit the wheels ive got lined up..
--------------------
--------------------
Future plans:
After the wheels arches and coils go on, Turbo conversion
Then chose a color.., maybe original and give it a complete blow over to freshen up the whole outside. Some racing this year, and then a cage after summer and more racing.
