[ I'm swapping it in December for one of these beasts: an MZ TS 125. its actually the same bike my sister was riding round on back in about 1994! lol Cant wait. That aint a MZ125 ......it's a MZ250 Supafive ......beware,the main bearing usually collapse every 15/20k miles, the kickstart spring is made of the cheapest metal known to man and it'll cost yer about 10p for a new 'un ...........and its a full days job to fit it. I had one in the early '80s T.

Used to instruct CBT - long time ago, just before the direct acess system came into play.
Had the following
CB125 (old carb version) CB400/4 - 1975 CBX 550 - Best bike ever! 400 Ex-up - 20 valve head! CB1 - 400
And for some strange reason ;o) I got a quote on a '96 blade yesterday. £327. One of the great things about getting old!

I've been biking since I was 16. Had a couple of years off now and then. Started with a Yamaha RD50 then bought a Suzie GT185 which I had for years. Just before I was to take my test, (old one-part), the wiring loom melted and I had to cancel. After they introduced the 2-part test, I bought a Honda H100S and a BMW R100RT. Went straight home after the test and jumped on the Beamer. Most scared I've ever been that first time. I kept thinking the bike would topple if I banked too much. Within a week, I was scraping the crash bars. I kept the BM for a long time then sold it to raise cash for a house deposit. I was given a dead KLR 600 back in 2000. Still got that but its all working now. I'd always fancied the look of Yamaha's XJ650. Could never find a nice one in my price range, then these happened. Couldn't get just one. There's mine, wifey's, a good spare and a spares bike. Purely fair weather riding. I'm too old now to freeze what bits are left. That's why they invented the car heater.

Me? ......Ive been riding since 1966 .........I'm currently running a Yam Dragstar, two Armstrong MT500's and a CanAm Bombardier .......[the MT's & CAB are ex-army bikes]. T. Seems those bikes are well liked and also underrated. Bit like the Tuareg 600 I have, it has a Rotax motor, so again bullet proof, and punchy.

did my da when I was 21. First bike was the NC30 which I still own. It was part rebuilt and then progress halted, followed by a house move etc. Its been 3 years since I last rode it now, and I am to have her fixed up this winter and back in action for the summer

I prefer not to be called a biker, instead opting for "Motorcyclist" I ride a Yamaha XTZ750 Super Tenere. Speed bumps for me are bumps I can ride over at speed. I also have a Honda CB400/4.

Yup all weather rider here. Especially now I sold my car. Bike history in no particular order- Suzuki RM80bw - first bike at 15, bought with paper-round christmas tips, ended up modifying it for Horncastle Youth Bike show and taking 3 trophies and getting featured in local rag TS125ER - first road bike, old twin shock model, with opened out out ports, mild barrel skim, race spannie and motorcross silencer. Was good for over 85mph (don't how much over cos the speedo stopped at 85!) DR600 Djebel (motarded!) - taken as a part ex against my Transalp as a stock Djebel. Relaced rear rim to front and new talon rear rim put on. Micron front pipes ending in White Bros alloy race silencer (bit like supertrapp), rebuilt engine with 1st oversize piston and rings, only stock bodywork was tank, seat and sidepanels, went into ditch at around 60mph and now I have metal holding my left wrist where it should be. Rebuilt whilst still in cast and back out again. Was my main bike during instructing (was youngest ever fully qualified instructor at 21) and I clocked up around 30k miles on it in a year. Did track day at Cadwell and was first bike to get my knee down on. Also video somewhere of me and my pillion with our knees down on it. Honda CB250RS x 2 - first one blew up after 3 weeks, second one bought to rebuild both. Modified and took 2nd place paint at a show. VFR400 NC21 - was my mums then I had it. Got written off when car pulled out on me. Transalp - only ever bike bought new, should've bought Africa twin. Did 9k miles in 7 months from septmeber 99, took it off roading, and then traded it for the DR cos it was dull Kawasaki KR1S - wish I'd never sold it. Bought from a kid who'd had only an AR50 before and put this down the road by too much front brake. Scrapped smashed fairing, fitted single 7" cibie and flipped clip-ons over so they were flat. Best memory was going to a little meet in downham market 2 up with guys on bigger bikes, one of whom said "oh its a 250, guess we'll see you there.." fair enough they did leave us on the straights on the way there, then when I was checking it over at the pub I realised I'd not got the powervalves plugged in. Plugged em in and left everyone on the way home... GPz500 - current bike, see full story www.lowriderforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=172 here Yamaha TR1 x 2 - first one inherited from my dad. Treated to engine rebuild by Edgar Hedley. Megacycle cams, Ti valve springs, teflon coated cylinders, flowed and skimmed heads, lightened, balanced and polished con-rods, ceramic coating on pistons, carbs flowed to heads, 1st oversize bore and pistons, frame fitted with fzr600 wheels with tzr discs on front, 5-gallon alloy tank and a variety of seat units. Very loud and very fun. Second one bought for a mate to build as a flat tracker, then he welched and bought a katana, so I kept it. Both sat in a shed at the mo,one is gonna be turned in to street class drag bike, the other either a chop or cafe racer. FZR600 - another 'wish I'd not sold it bike' Bought for cheap from a dealer from the shed out back, made a cock up with ordering chain and sprockets and ended up fitting 51T rear sprcket instead of 45T. Dropped top speed down to 125, but did lift the front wheel in first 3 gears, braided lines all round and would do 2-up stoppies. Sold with after doing 4k miles in 6 weeks.

grizz in da house: How many bikers are here, and what do you ride? And for how long have you ridden? How many we are here I don't know but if you ask me, I'm a biker, well I'm not 100% sure about that, mostly I'm a builder that loves to tinker with everything 2-wheeled, I don't ride as much as I should, some 5000km this year but I make other people happy with my work, both for those who order a Stripper from me and for those who look at my work, be it Customs, Sportbikes, Scooter, or. I also love to go riding or just hang with my crew Skitskraj MC www.skitskrajmc.comI work during the day as GM at Starol Racing an Aprilia dealership in Enköping Sweden, we'r no huge biz but we sell and race Aprilia's, we rent out Aprilia RS125 Junior bikes for the Swedish 125 Junior Road Racing Cup, our mechanic runs Nicklas Caiback's 2006 European Champ Road Racing team with one Aprilia 250 Racer, we will during 2007 run a 2 bike team in the Swedish Supermoto Camp, on Aprilia 440 SXV of course. At my Mosta Hill workshop in my spare time build Strippers, cut-down-caged-stunt-bikes from sportsbikes like GSXR 1000, Fireblades, Honda, Kawasaki etc. I have been buliding choppers & custom bikes since 1973 and have owned and currently own a s*itload of bikes, way to many to list..... The summer of 2007 I drove an Aprilia 1000R Tuono, just like this and loved every minute of it..... Our "Rent-A-Racer" Aprilia RS 125 that we lease to 13-21 year old kids who want to get a start in road racing on a budget.... DP Race Tech Stripper after "Gixxer-Timmy" has used & abused her for a summer.... Since 1973 I have built Cafe Racers, Choppers, MX, Drag Racers well almost any type of bike, I have built for customers both here in Sweden and during my 11 years in So Cal, I have even sold 2 bikes to Jay Lenno and custom built 2 for Mickey Rourke, the gold Bobber is Mickey's and after selling it to him I missed it soooo much I built the twin (the green one) for myself, picture taken outside Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas ca 1991.... At the moment in my Mosta Hill shop I'm in the midst of a Custom Bike that is planed to break at Cusrom Bike Show, Norrtälje on June 4 2007 and I hope to set some of the "Custom Bike Building Community" on it's toes with this one, it's some 10 years since I last built a bike for show and it's really a hoot, my phone is ringing off the hook with people & mags wanting to know if what they have heard is true but I'm keeping this one well under hat untill it turns it's wheels in anger for the first time, stay tuned...... So if I'm a biker, well I have during the last 35 years never been without something on 2 wheels with a motor, I don't know what else I could call myself..... DP says: Not all "bikers" have ink, big belly, beard and gorgeous chix , I have 3 out of 4.....

Would not call my self a biker at the mo - more cycler! LOL My embarrassing but retro bike CV loks like this. Yamaha PW50: 1980-date (saving for future nipper, or rainy day) Honda H100S: 1994-1996, pre car affordability transport - 59MPH Oh yeah! Passed test in 1996 - no bike since. Really fancy now: custom old Lambretta, Custom Moped, enduro/ offroader trail bike for on/off road, super moto type thing, or streetfighter thing if I could be a$$ed to have another project! My dad has had loads of mad bikes though like Fireblades etc.

Ah the CR500...when I was looking for a 2T commuter I looked at a motarded one..was lovely but turned out to be a ringer. Fantastic to ride though...ended up getting my KR1S instead. Friend popped his Aprilia RS125 and we were after a CR500 motor to put in that...oh that would've been fun...

i was -sort of started and then gave up on the grounds of self preservation. first bike was an mb5 which had a knackered engine so while the barrel and head was away being rebored ,i resparayed it in full on jps colour scheme.then the bike shop managed to lose said barrel and head and then denied ever having said parts.got mightily peed off and sold it on to a mate.never to be seen again. a couple of years later i had my mate rog at bat m/c's to import one of these for me to get about on after doing wheelies at every opportunity (derestricted grey import and total novice rider) and riding it trough a hawthorn bush i decided to give up two wheels and get back on four and bought an imp.

Got into bikes around 1988 - my brother had them since early 70's but I prefered cars. He is into Harleys, and at one time imported quite a few - he now builds about 1 a year for his pleasure. I unfortunately cannot stand them, much prefering bikes with a bit of performance. I have at present an Urban Tiger fireblade (owned since 2000) which has engine and handling mods giving 132 rwhp, and in a bid to slow me down, possibly the most underated bike around - a Honda X11 - this also has tuning mods. Most of my mates run streetfighters, and we have quite an active club dedicated to this genre.
