Spotted this at Shelsley on the Saturday of the Gathering. Lotus 23 chassis, but the engine is a bit unusual. it looks like 6x Ariel arrow engines engineered together to me ? I only know because my dad had two 60's Golden Arrows I rode one of them in the 2006 Thundersprint ;D

great to get some more info, my mate insisted it was a V12 rotory engine! all weekend! Try as I might I couldnt explain to him how wrong that statement was definatly a 2 stroke though!

excellent technical innovation of that era love ariel arrows from my youth seen a few racers including the melvyn prett replica built in Sandwich Kent late 60 s plus isle of man tt entrants of the 60 s era as well just love all them engines side by side for me a bit of true british engineering spirit we are known for

Nice & amazing, V12 with separate crankshafts. The way the cooling fan was mounted on the engine cover is an nice solution.
