Yeah, I think we can all take away from this that:
If you're replacing pipes, using kunifer is the best bet, but you'll need half decent flaring kit.
If your car's already got copper lines fitted, don't worry unless they're shagged, but then if they are, then you should worry whatever material they're made of.

Just to let you guys know that raindance won't be replying (under his original account at least) as his account has been rendered inactive by my evil button-pressing skills. Not because of his opinion but because of his attitude.
I've concluded from this thread that if you're replacing brake pipes, use kunifer but if you've got copper pipes on your car the likelyhood of running over a bus queue full of nuns is low (and not because they all have minibuses and don't use public transport).

I noticed that he (or someone) had also deleted his last post, which made my last comment look like it was directed at someone else, which it wasn't, so I deleted that also!

I`ll just keep using copper thanks.Or whatever the local motor factors have in.Its done fine for the last 15 years of car building and it`ll do another 15 no problem. When someone shows me an ACTUAL PROVEN failure of copper as a cause of brake failure then i`ll change my mind. But somehow i don't think anyone will.
