Hi! I used yellow bulb lacquer and painted the reflectors with it. Will see how long it lasts ;D I didn't paint the glas, as it covers two reflectors in a housing and I felt it wouldn't look right. On a round head light like in the pictures I would've painted the glas, no doubt! As it saves the reflectors (mine were dull and damaged allready - worth a shot)... Many french cars have yellow glas covers for the light bulbs, which also give the headlights a yellow appearance; I think the Renault 16 has them installed...

Painting the reflectors? I hadn't thought of that. How much paint did it take to do those?

Id vote for flyeyes, it's brilliant and works a treat, doesn't block any light either - I've got it on the front and back of the Capri and I'm gonna stick some yellow on the front of the Lada and red on the back

Berol Glass marker pens for me. Mainly because they were there and I didn't have to purchase them I must admit though I have had decent results colouring in the lens and/or the bulbs on various vehicles. They come in plenty colours too

+1 for hobbycraft lemon yellow, was about £2. if your doing fogs, don't faff about splitting them, just paint the outside

I used some yellow film I bought from Thiefbay. I cleaned the glass with thinners then put it on. I used a hairdryer for the curved bits. The yellow Hobbycraft paint does seem like a better option though.

far as I know, its legal, end of... Thats great til you get a tug. Pretty sure UK law says only white light is allowed at the front- thats why front number plates are white, not yellow like the rear. Anyway, you can buy a translucent paint from model shops that gets applied to the inside of the lens. I used it when my rear lights got me pulled because they were pink not read due to fading.

(googling it brought me back to RR, someone quoted the relevant section).

Tamiya do a translucent yellow spray that's just as good on 1:1 as it is on 1:10 lights.
