Few spots from the local scrappies

Our scrappy usally got a few old un's in.
Strangest thing i've ever seen in there was a 1960's NSU Prinz that was more filler than car!

I remember once there being some sort of roof chopped sd1 in there, looked a good job, but then it had an external roll cage on it? Bizarre!

That P100 rings a bell, I'm sure ive seen a pic of that a while ago on this forum, i think somebody knew the owner. Had a big scrape down the side i seem to recall.

Yeah it belonged to my best my Mike. (MJG on other forums)

He baught it, we sprayed it the same day, we slid around in it, then on the 3rd day - the Police took it away from us haha. Ended up sleeping in Tescos carpark in Coventry, as they wouldn't let us drive it home (3:00am Monday morning).

I took the 2.0 Pinto (205 block) and 5speed type 9 g'box out before he sent it to the scrappy. Sorted.

Oh and the big scrape down the side..... was where a Range Rover full on side-swiped it on the motorway. Sent the Range into the air, but the P100 didn't give a shiznit.

they won't release complete motors usually,
engines get torched out, badly, dampers get
snipped through, no VW gets through into the
main yard with an engine ATM cos the Polish are
buying them all at the gate and sending them home.

we had a few bits off the 5 pot Audi though.

the website don't get updated quick enough
for the yard's turnover ATM either.

I love international rescue missions.

I found a really nice passat saloon like that one in a scrapyard in Wisbech this week, 1986 model, same colour but with alloys. I'd have been reaching for my wallet if it hadnt had another car on its roof.

the guy who picked up this passat in the UK, should really get a medal or something.... he is a true petrolhead, he had two very nice Passats, which were both written off by some stupid drivers, then i sold him my good old Passat 5cylinder syncro, which he currently restores; from the shell it must be the worst you find allover the world, it took him about a fortnight to repair the clutch (which is a horrible job to do on the 4wd Passats), including engine-out engine-in several times. And he always wanteds to have a RHD Passat, so he seems to be the only one now in germany.... i'll get some better pictures soon, so i can say a bit more to this car...
