I've not really been retro tiding for long- only since september, and I don't even have a camera, so the only pics I have are of my car from friends' borrowed cameras! (I'm afriad I'm also going to be naughty and post more than 3 becuase I can't for the life of me decide between them!) All taken when I went out for a drive one day, determined to get some photos of the car Looking to the drive ahead! Just 15 minutes drive away from the centre of Leeds!

Got a few: The day I went to the REME museum near us and ended up being allowed to clamber over and photograph the first UK import Beetle First race meet of the year at Castle Combe, got to sit in a Formula Vee single seater in the pits The end of the busiest day ever, Dubs @ the Park show, a 14hours setting up, running and paking away, but great fun Day we collected our GTi Pistonheads meet in November, nice colour Great idea for a thread ;D

No apologies from me for the content of these pictures Right first After 6mths of graft having reduced the monza to just a shell at one stage fallen way behind schedule and ended up doing a triple and some (30 hrs solid fighting to beat a deadline to get the monza on the road I returned from the final stage getting an exhaust fitted) parked it on the drive and sat down looked at the back of the car and thought - "yep that was worth all the effort" After an engine blow up on it's first track day, a rebuild plus run in and worries about reliability - to do a couple of laps of the Le Mans circuit and take a few pictures was a really good feeling And having made a 1000 mile round trip i resolved to sort the rest of the cosmetics out and this is it finished And sorry if I can't count but my favorite one of the year is this one - not taken by me as I'm driving but hunting down and despatching an S2000 (amongst other things) on a track day was a wonderfull end to the year - the way he's checking his mirrors makes me chuckle ;D

For HoTWire.... If someone was clever enough I guess these could be merged? I do have them at full size if anyone wants to have a bash at it. For me, my selection of not necessarily the best but three that summarise what I do/enjoy: Drive my cars. Take pictures of rusty old rubbish. Enjoy the company of people with similarly cool old motors

This is hardly calendar photo material, but this is of the Charmant after claying, polishing and waxing, was surprised how well the paintwork came up, it doesn't look bad for "metallic beige". I was taking loads of photos of the car at that point pleased at how good it was looking! At last the dream of owning a Charmant has come true. And the good news is I just got my Christmas money through so it's getting insured and taxed again in January. Stay tuned for photos that aren't of it parked in my driveway.

Not great but considering amount of Whisky consumed its not a bad effort what time was that taken? don't understand how I can not be in it unless it was after I had left (2ish iirc) This was early in morning just as the line up was assembled. On camp site I spent so long 'waking up' cleaning and spraying my pits, washing face that at the time I thought Me and BGT were last got prime front loaction Win! you must of squeezed in after I got no pics of the line up either, good work SL.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
