My friend's car, drooled over this thing from the first moment I saw it ;D Traded my motorbike to it, getting it in few weeks to me. More then. Have some pics while waiting Some ass tried to stole it back in the day, that's why the extra locks on the doors. Originals were pretty much destroyed. Not bad for 42 years old Swedish cruise boat I think

Hi all. Got Volvo home last weekend, drove 30km to home and it runs very well Driveshaft vibrates a little at speeds over 60kmh, have to check the midle part's bearing at some point. Couple of minutes with the power washer... ;D Good thing that the guy who painted car to flatt black didn't bother to sand it att all ;D Should be fairly simple to wash/wipe off the black and return the green colour. Beetles back window, wich is plastic at the moment, was leaking very badly. Water was leaking straight to the boot through the speaker holes and shelf cover... ...wich looked pretty nasty when I pulled it out. Measuring it after it is dry and make a new, thin chipboard or plywood should do the trick. Cleaned out the rust... Dryed the shelf... And slapped on so much glue so it should not leak any more Boom. The fabric around the window was luckily not moldy at all so just have to dry that out also. The engine is leaking oil almost from every possible place, getting a replace 18B engine from Volvo 142 at some point

This days to do list included de-rusting and cleaning the gasoline meter's sensor. The needle was all over the place and it was a bit irritating to drive when you had 1/4 tank petrol not knowing when it does run out;D Also was wondering why my heater wasn't working.... There were little weeds growing in my air intake hole ;D That't why a somekind of grille on top of a intake is always a good idea... ;D A few kilos of half decomposed leaves, pinecones and bunch of dead bees Much better And after shooting a pinecone out of intake's drainpipe the water also started to run out from the bottom.

love the car fellow. A set of banded steels in red with whitewalls would be the rod. Mooneyes are very tasty too.
Any plans to drop her once the maintenance is sorted?

Got some new parts last week. Window washer needs to be replaced, it's not in orginal place and the grille goes over it when mounted. Was thinking maybe some chrome bits to replace the black plastic one. Also found a centerconsole. Not sure though will it fit, cause my gear shifter has been moved from front of the car to between the front seats. Shifter's hole on the console is not big enough to free movement, and I don't like chopping good parts to pieces ;D Also started work with a replacement engine. B20b from 123GT If I slap the double SU's to it, I might get a whopping 115hp! ;D 20 min's fight to get one stubborn bolt of... ;D Was in pretty good shape, but third piston has had a majore leak in some point. Third valves also looked pretty horrible Others were in pretty good condition. Was told the engine was done just under 300 000km's when it was taken of due to the third piston's leakin propblem. Doesn't look too bad after a little cleaning.

It was stored at my parents house on countryside in a shed made out of old pallets and tarpaulin for a quite long time, changed the airdryer inside every couple of monts during winters and did very well, not a single piece of mould in interior. ElWoody I think I go with the current rear bumber becouse it's been modified and welded to sit in a hole/place where the original was with bolts and it would be a quite lot of job to grind it back to factory look. Just ditching the reflectors and changing the plates place and the platelight wich is from some old soviet tracktor or something at the moment. Not sure what to do with the front, not really a fan of the custom three piece wich was cut from a original bumber and added two more cones to midle. Found a fendermirror and cool A for Amazon (from Austin orginaly?) from swapmeet today. Testing wheelcolors and Maston whitewalls

I wonder if you can combine the two grilles? Replace the middle two bars on the black one with that nice shaped Skoda one and see how that all sits. Just a plain, standard Amazon bumper painted to match the car would probably tidy the rest up for minimal expense and hassle.
It's pleasing to see this resurrected, I really hope you still plan to keep it mint green, the colour really suits it.

I think the grill is too sharp a bend to make the skoda one an easy fit, would have to do some chopping by the looks of it. Some black mesh in behind the skoda one would tidy it up a lot.
