I am enjoying it but the rule bending is getting on my tits a bit, he's overstating the recycling and reusing bit, doesn't mention the breathable membrane, The b+q reed screen around his toilet didn't look reclaimed to me, 5 minutes was spent on the weaving of his bed by someone els, there's just a bit of imbalance in how it's presented.
not sure on his burner, doesn't appear to have a proper seal on the door, in such a small space that a cracking headache at best, or waking up dead at worst.
was a bit peed that they nicked a few bits off a grey fergie to make a chair, hardly recycling when you leave the vast majority behind!
having said all that, must be a bit of the green eyed monster in me, because i would love to have something like that!

I think it would be far better if it was shown with admissions of where something simply wasn't possible with the resources of his land rather than skimming over and continuing with the 'doing it myself with almost everything from my own land or discarded by others'.
Still some amazing achievements and I'm incredibly jealous.

Does make you wonder why we don't re-use waste, everyone needs to poo, everyone needs to cook/keep warm - why not harvest it. Good idea, could use it in power stations instead of coal. I'm sure someone must have thought of that already though.

I enjoy watching it He makes some nice stuff love the chair he made..But i am wondering when the planning officer going to come.I no he said at the start of the program that you don't need planning if its on wheels and it moves.Well mobile homes are on wheels and you need planning for them.He must have nicer planning officers were he lives.

I'm sure someone must have thought of that already though. Yep most decent sized sewage works collect the gas and run through turbine/reciprocating engines to make kW for export. Same process used on landfill sites and anaerobic digestion (fancy enclosed compost sites) as well. Due to pesky efficiencies they're at best 40% efficient for the fuel (unless you can find a use for the heat) so in Europe it's getting quite common to clean-up the gas and inject into the normal gas main so you can use wherever and ideally through CHP plants or efficient boilers etc.
