quarter lights removed frames modified, and one piece poly carbonate sheets fitted





frames had to cut apart and rebuilt to let the larger sheet in

It's gonna take a lot of work but done well that idea will look sweeeet. A colleague of my dads built a wide arch Anglia racer in the 70s. To wide arch it he welded the panels together (wing, door, rear quarter), split it at the window line/sill andbmoved it outwards by 6" each side, then gas welded bits of steel in to fill the gaps.

Great project you have, love the look of the P6. It's going to be bad ass all the way.
Love the alloys you have, they make me think off the alloys on the older Alfa's.

Hmmm. Disappointing.

When threads get deleted like this it often means they're removing any evidence of the modifications done because they're trying to avoid going through a biva test.

I hope that's not the case here but there was some serious bodywork happening. and it is a monocoque body

No bubbles arches here!....its been done to death, especially on P6s, as it the easier way of doing things!

I'm going to take the body out from front lamp to rear lamp out by 6 inches approx.

I will use 8 front and rear wings and 8 doors and join them together.

boot holes and lock smoothed off, and cable operated boot lock fitted.

the boot was ordered s/h, and I just knew the corners of the alloy boot would be delivered stoved in!...I must be psychic!

this is not my engine bay!...but is my preferred choice of engine, simply because thousands of Rovers have V8s, and it would be no easy install......er but lets get the car on the road first !!

some motors just don't get any love.....but personally, I would just get an MOT and run her like she is!....I wouldn't even wash it!

I researched a little...RHK 550R was last taxed in 1988. it is one of the last P6s built known as the VIP model, only 77 built, the final 50 where built in April and May 1976, and this example was registered in Sept 1976.....I hope it survived....P6s could be seen on 'S' plates and where used by the Police to use the models up before the new SD1s where launched.
