Nooooooo, once again, doesnt go with the style. I'm still waiting for peoples pictures from santapod, but I have one that I can show you. Yeah, so basically, went out on top track, was coming back round to the start chasing my mates 200sx, sideways, as you do, he span, I went into him, we both curse word ourselves laughing and then carried on to have a quality day. Needs a new door, will cut out all the door shut and rear quarter and make it straight then weld it back in. No biggy, hopefully get a new door this weekend and start on the repairs next weekend. Car performed flawlessly, got a bit warm occasionally so will whack the fan I took of an MX5 I broke for parts last month on it and have it on an overide switch so I can run it constantly when skidding. Hopefully there are a few pictures of my car, cant wait to go again.

Cut the rear wings lengthwise where they curve at the top towards the windows , pull out and insert a fillet of steel? Subtle.

Was going to do similar, but where the swage is (where the chrome strips used to be) was going to widen that 1" ala box arch stylee

/\ /\ /\ Nice idea, could look a bit funky when running skinny skid wheels mind.
I guess the damage goes with the territory, good to see someone having proper fun with one of these though.

Got bolt on wheel spacers that will fix that Until its running big power it will have to skid on smaller wheels, the final aim is for it to have enough power to skid on 15x8's comfortably as then I can get skid tires far easier!

In your first post you mentioned you bought this for your Dad. I hope you bought him something else instead, like a Toblerone.

Well, still no photo's from santa pod But today I set about sorting the door out (or starting to atleast) after losing all of yesterday and half of today working on my dads Legacy and RX8 I decided I needed to do something to the MGB! Stripped the door off the car, stripped the glass and other curse word out then pushed the main dent out - A cup of tea in a suitable mug is a must - then this happened - After alot of hammering (panel beating, the ultimate in stress relieval!) welded it back in - ground it down - During the week i'll sort out the rust patch I cut out the bottom front of the door, and start fillering the door so its nice and pretty, ready to be smashed in again on the 8th of december! Next weekend going to make my rear arches so I can fit the rear rota's and also sort the quarter panel and sill out.

Plan is to cut the swage line, widen it about an inch, a bit like a box arch, harder to explain than it is to do (I think?) Will be done this weekend with any luck also, this has arrived on the interwebs, god I look so serious!

Awesome. Only things those pics are missing is a flat cap and obligatory string-back driving gloves, rocked in an ironic stylee...

I also have to admit to failing.
I have bought rivet on archs.
Due to widening the front track 45mm either side, I now require wider than originally planned archs, and due to time constraints (rather spend time on fitting the new engine rather than curse word about with the bodywork) ive decided to just cheat and whack a set of rivet on archs on it.
