Haha...I figured it would be something like that.
I also know the plans that Uncle Silvia has include moving the pole onto other cars at a later date, hence the reluctance to attack the bumper with a black & decker.

I'm going to bump this mega old thread, rather than start a new one. I'm after one of these for my Pajero, I already have a bracket and the wiring on my car, just after the pole! I'll make one eventually but would like a real one

I'm going to bump this mega old thread, rather than start a new one. I'm after one of these for my Pajero, I already have a bracket and the wiring on my car, just after the pole! I'll make one eventually but would like a real one I bought my motorised one direct from Japan via eBay, seller was very helpful and willing to ship to the UK. Worth checking that out. The only really common one found in the UK is Mazda Bongo, so the other option is to find a breaker and fit the pole from one of those.

I've only seen one on Japan eBay which had the same bracket as mine but it was a lot more expensive than the others!
