Great work! Interesting to see classics for Malta - we have SO many Maltese cars for sale on ebay UK now, that I'm surprised there are any left on Malta itself. I visited about 25 years ago and loved all of the old classics and buses - part of the charm of your beautiful island. Also loving the look of the Bug in this shot: Any more info? You're right we see project cars loaded on trailers leaving weekly. The classic car scene has become very vibrant because approved vehicles older than 25 yrs old pay almost no road tax. At the same time a lot of guys are importing classics from the UK, Europe and USA (american cars) so it kind of balances out ! That bug belongs to my friend, I believe its mostly original paint, just had a mechanical overhaul, lowering and some lowrider touches like coloured interior and a chain link steering wheel I ll see if I have more pics

However look up the following colours from the old MB charts: Tobacco brown, bronze brown and anthracite..I think bronze brown is the closest

Could be, there are a few really low bugs cruising around at the moment...they're hard to drive that low due to the roads. If you're still in Malta on Thursday the dragstrip is open Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks

I had the utter privilege of being driven In this beautiful car yesterday. It's perfect and I'll be looking for one on Ebay when I get back.
The paintwork was flawless the smell of the leather. The comfortable ride.
I could have not asked for a better vehicle to drop me off to my Wedding!
I hope the invite for the Drag Strip is still open... Getting a bit of cabin fever stuck in the hotel....

Thanks! Well it depends on how knowledagble you are about cars in general. Its not too difficult if you have some experience changing suspension parts and so on, especially if you find a bolt on kit. This car required some fabrication so it wasn't a bolt in job, I looked at different threads on the net to see what needed to be done. I got my air management kit from the UK from Design4 automotive even though its manufactured in the USA.

Haven't done much to the car, but by chance I had the opportunity to have it featured on a local motoring tv show. Its in Maltese, but there's a couple of shots of the car going up and down lol

That is a very sweet Merc, lovely height and the colour contrst with the interior is perfect. I went to Malta back in 1998, I remember there being no end of MK1 & MK2 Escorts, also spotted a Jag XK120 parked up in St Julians. Lovely island & some lovely motors cruisng about
