there is completely no point converting the MGB "B" engine to fuel injection. all the gains will be by getting rid of the dizzy for 3D mappable ignition like MegaJolt. B engines have siamesed ports which FI ecu's currently cannot handle. You can fuel inject them but the throttle body/injectors just act an electronic carb....which is pointless.
i have a 67 B GT and did over 2000 miles in it during the summer commuting 50 miles a day/to work. the majority of running issues are does to knackered ignition systems.

I'm in the process of going full EFI on the Vitesse, cos I'm fed up of not being able to set the carbs/timing up properly across the rev range. Tho this is probably due to the silly lumpy cam and using Strombergs, but I'm to subborn to change them for anything else!
I always used to be of the same thinking that EFI is the Devils work etc, but these days with the likes of MegaSquirt and other stand alone ECUs etc that are not dealer specific and relatively user friendly/tuneable/Adaptable/repairable I don't view them as the same 'black magic' that I used to.

I probably should have made it clearer that i meant converting the MG 'B's fuel system to take injection for the T series, as opposed to adding fuel injection to the B series engine, which would just be silly

Can't beat the sound of multi carbs, but why put them on a noisy old boat anchor when you can put them on a far more advanced/superior smooth and efficient design..? Smaller, lighter, more flexible and more powerful than a Lotus big valve twink - this sport tuned 1.6 16v VW engine cost me £400 to build and all the parts are cheap and plentiful. No brainer! To think people are still messing about with the likes of B-series and Pintos, seriously when you strip all the restricted/governed fly-by-wire fuel systems from modern engine bays you often find some good meat in there.

And for those who don't find engines the height of their classic experience, how about 60+ mpg from a TDi..?
