Leigh, that hurts! You can hardly see the transition between tarmac and grass LOL! Yeah, big flat wheels work with the Citroens wedgie shape, but try finding some OEM ones in 5x108! 5x108 - It's a curse I tell thee! I think you could squeeze these on:

Yep, they are cool, just had a look - 16 inch - win 5 x 108 - win Center bore 63.1 - 2mm too small, but citroens are centerless? 10mm spacers would be good too, this might cure the center bore issue? And there is a set on ebay Will have to wait until money is a bit less tight, but still the best option so far.\ The only other one I can think of is the steel/alloy from a C5, these are ace but the wrong PCD. I have a little information the the Pug 607 uses a similar wheel in 16" with 5x108?? Mega light and able to take some ace wheels trims?

Do the Volvo wheels, always wanted to see them on something.

Ditto to the Volvo DrivE wheels. The other Citroen ones posted are ok, but too fussy for the clean lines of the XM.

I agree about the Volvo wheels, seems like they were made for this car!
Have you got any news about the top mounts? Can't find any over here for now, I'm not sure what they're called in French (which is really quite stupid).

That XM is Trebor minty...!!! Those Volvo wheels will suit the XM perfectly so they HAVE to be sourced and fitted... Can anybody out there do a nifty PhotoPlop to show us all how the XM/Volvo marriage could work out...

Hi guys The Volvo wheels will be sourced as soon as things settle down this end, baby is going to be here soon then I start the new job and then we move. Once may arrives we can think about wheels As for the strut tops, no luck this end. The ones that are on the car are serviceable for now and I will keep looking for replacements, when time allows. Apart from that, the car is just brilliant, ferrying us around at 45mpg average over 55 on the motorway. Gets filled to the brim with excess curse word for the tip and behaves like a pick up truck, then becomes a fantastic motorway wafter, ideal! J

There's a guy in Finland that's casting his own XM strut top mounts. I'm not sure how far he actually got with the project, but I think he has some finished pieces and he was planning to produce a small series (However, I'm not sure, I was never particularly interested in the project). Here's a link to the project in Finnish, have a look at the pictures, and if you're interested I can make an attempt at translating some of it for you: www.sitruunapatonki.fi/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10715

Been doing a few bits and bobs as and when time allows After a little think I got my workshop hairdryer out and went to town It melts very fast with that and seeped into all the nooks and crannies You are a genius! I use the rattlecans of clean waxoyl to protect bits like inner wings, under arches, just localised things whilst working on the cars. The stuff inside is perfectly good, but it does tend to come out as a splattery, gunky mess. One hairdryer later, the SLK's battery tray end of the inner wing has a smooth, satiny, thorough coating of waxoyl. Nice car, too. I'm envious, I had to give up on my XM project, too much broken-leg nonsense and wasn't feeling the love for the S2 + 2.0cT, bad experiences in the past. Love XMs as a rule though.
