I looked at those BBS stylee rims from Sweden for my 940, pretty much no change from 2 grand bought and shipped to the UK so I changed my mind. :S

Assuming they're 5x108 and you're after a 'modern' look then a set of Ford ST snowflakes might be cool: You'll probably find some good package prices on all sorts of good rims (including cross-spoke BBSesque stuff) looking for Mondeo/Focus/MODERN 5X108 stuff. Personally though, I'd be rocking some lovely steels (red would work) with whitewalls, trim rings and hubcaps. Or, better still...have more than one set of rims and change them as the mood takes you.

I know they may be a bit small for you but 940 steels are an easy swap if you wanted to go down the steels route. This is how they look on mine

Your Volvo is super sweet with that stance, and i hope you wont take it the wrong way but i think pretty much any wheel will improve the look. Those snowflakes that rmad posted would be sweet, althouif any bigger than yourcurrent ones you might need more drop to avoid looking like a donk! LOL But seriously, its a bad ass ride.

By the way. If it was mine i would go with steel wheels and skinny white wall tires for an elegant cruiser look. But you know what they say about opinions....

there's a chap selling a 940 on here, think it's under "volvo advise" on the general board. Would make a great engine donor and it definitely has some wheels fitted

Since the reintroduction of the mk18 they've kinda become the norm for rwd volvos, and you can't really go wrong with them. My uncle has a 164 with slotmags and cooper cobras, it's awesome.

Sorry I don't have any pics, I actually think it's the same colour as yours but with a beige leather interior, it's in storage but i'll try snapping a pic next time i'm visiting. JP mk18 are an old favourite up here, they haven't been made in quite a while though, and wide ones have been scarce and expensive. Now a norwegian company called Ocean have started producing them in 18x8.5, with a quite affordable price tag to boot! Here's some more pics, didn't find any more 164's with them though. Here's more of the one I posted earlier. Another idea would be the classic banded steels look, here shown with a nice twist. Don't take this wrong, but I think the car deserves better than a set of hockenheims.. Now that ford's have gone to 5x108 i'm sure there's plenty of cool different modern wheels around, or better yet, try finding something wide and retro! ;D

Mmm I know what you mean...I don't mind the hockenheim s as they will look good when I've painted them black, and they have the blue centre nut same as car...but they were very cheap... Do you know if there is a engine swop kit to fit the t5 turbo engine not the 164 as there seems to be nothing I can find around...

That Amazon is curse word badass!!! IMO, steelies with whitewalls would have been a good choice, modern wheels on an old cool car are just no! Although Hockenheims are nice but I personally don't think they'll look right on your motor, but if you don't try you won't know

Completely different to your suggestion but my favourite modern wheel on any car is the Volvo libra ... I'd fit a set of those.... Would fit them on my cube if the fitment worked.
