This thread is proper perfection. Ive always wanted to do a similar thing to a mk2 or a XJ6. When i finish everything else, i will own a proper jag, never coveted something so much!
If you don't mind my asking, where is that chippy? it looks like my actual mecca. I love 70s timewarp, and for there to be an actual place that is, is amazing!

Hi Bruce,
I was really excited to see this at the gathering. I'm a big fan of your conservation not restoration ethos and I have to say in the metal I thought the Daimler looked fantastic.
The contrast of the bright chrome against the patina of the paint is spot on and I love the way you have to get close to see how crazed it actually is, from afar it looks more like a well worn satin gold paint finish.
"Gentlemans Express" couldn't be more well suited.

Always love reading your threads. I accidentally had a bit of time away from RR and came back and none of your threads were on the front page. Did a search and found this and it didn't fail to deliver well done and look forward to more updates from one of your many projects.

Don't get on here as much as I used to / should but had to post to say great thread. Really admire your approach on this car, like you mates at the trimmers said, it just wears it's years with pride.
Also loved the day out around Bristol, burger diner, car show then all topped off with fish & chips at the sea side. I will be 'borrowing' this template for one of my days out in the new year.
Keep up the work and regular posts!!
