where did the summer go? fighting fires, (aka, all my other stuff broke)
i did get a bit done to the truck, first hurdle was the rear tank.
it broke down on the way to work with a filter stuffed full of rust (still made it to work on time )and it was leaking so i went to a local place to get it fixed, suffice to say he was a lazy cock and i was stuck with out my ride for a while. i did order a new tank but it wouldn't fit on a pallet so island4x4 wouldn't sent it to me.
fix it myself was the last option then.
some two pack epoxy used to glue the bash plate to the tank.
bit of paint
Sorted no leaks! provided there isn't 20 liters of water sloshing about in there again it should hold for a long time.
after all that messing about some fresh diesel was put in and...
who left that exhaust flapper open! actually had to clean the sooty water muck off, it was that bad.
some time after that, i was welding up some project bikes and decided while i was at it:
not great, running out of wire and light halfway though did not help my welding mojo
but it's done and pretty solid, the rear chassis rust holes will have to wait until after winter.
but then! cause it was getting a bit cold out side i decided to drain and refill the radiator with antifreeze.
no wonder it would get a little warm..
didn't have anything anyway in town to suit, so bodged it up and ordered a new on online.
it's still there, even have the new cap sitting around here somewhere, it's doing a great job, engine temps have gone way down no matter how hard it cane it up hill.
other things: all the track rods replaced now, new shocks (don't get the +2" no mater what people say about parabolics giving a lift) got a set of military shackles and plan to mod the chassis sometime in the summer to suit em.
