Now some of you will have seen and be following this and know the guy who's built it. But thought I would share it for those who might have missed it. So Marc Huxley of www.huxleymotorsport.co.uk decided to sell his old Corolla Drift car and then perhaps not compete in BDC this year. Well then a Volvo turned up and 7 weeks ago it looked a bit like this Then it sort of ended up like the pictures below. There has been a lot of work from a lot of people and it still didn't work on Saturday. But after sorting the clutch, water leak and a couple of other problems. It was driven for the first time in anger on Saturday. It went well and all concerned were more than happy. Qualified 10th and finished 5th overall. Not a bad weekend. More work to do before round 2. But enjoy the pics. and yes it does skid

Truly Huxley is a god among men. Indeed he is. Seven weeks to take that from a shell to the V8 propelled drift weapon it is. Incredible. Plus, he's a really nice bloke. The git. Chris

Area 52 sticker? Who did this used to belong to then?
It is awesome, I've been following the build on Friendface, I love the whole concept and the attention to detail is great. Great to see it being used in anger now.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Truly impressed that it came so far in such a short time. Glad to see something unusual running in the BDC too. I'm rooting for him this year

This thing is so cool it makes my brain hurt! Great to see something truly different competing in the BDC, amongst the sea of S-bodies.

Don't worry one of them is my wallpaper as well.
Some more work for round two, like more grip and rear wing/diffuser etc

Trying to work out what this front lower bumper section is from, its not 240 is it? No its not. The original volvo bumper is there, but together with a BMW 5 series bumper as the main part, then the splitter is the top part of the bumper flipped upside down. Its also got BM side skirts

7 weeks ah? I'm still stuck and probably way back than day one after 7 years. I always wonder how in hell people manage to do these builds in a curse word blink!
But yeah, truly amazing.

Huxley Motorsport do all kinds of stuff for fast road and race cars, if you've got your own workshop with loads of tools/skill/time and you need a demo car to promote your business I guess it's not that difficult. The problem comes when it's your hobby and life/money/space/time are all an issue.
