I went on the Sunday too, but I didn't see all of those cars in your pic's Anglia68. I did notice that quite a few cars were driving about, so it would still be possible to miss stuff even after walking around the whole show. Oh! I presumed you had gone on the Monday as I didn't see most of the cars you posted. Stupidly my battery ran out so I couldn't take any more pics but there were plenty more cars worthy of a shot like that rear engined Mini van which was a beaut. Doh, I feel like a right plonker! I did go on the Monday, not the Sunday...I'm not used to having bank holidays off and it felt like a Sunday to me. I'm tierd and should really go to bed.

The Stingray is awesome, so is the Stratos....but this..... .....THIS: Genuine jaw>floor moment! I do hope this was *with* suspension/ride height as intended? I thought precisely the same thing, it looks far better than I could ever imagine.

To my eye, that looks like it's echoing the Jag E1A (prototype E Type) more then the D mentioned in the ad - some pics of E1A here.

Made me want to grab the picture links to put in the thread directly, but links way to long to show up without fussing with shortening. Love the shortened proportions & inaccuracies of it, they work well. Unlike the MX5-250..

Went on the Monday - there were less cars when I got there due to the 7 miles of solid traffic I got stuck in ...but it was worth it! I was very impressed with the build quality. The car of the show for me was this little beaut - took 5 years to build from scratch: took forever to get my missus to walk away from one of these though: she was offering up all my vehicles in part-ex! great show - will be back next year - on the first day this time and much earlier!

What sort of kit was it? Obviously based on a citroen and made of wood.

Sunday is traditionally the busiest day at Stoneleigh and this year was no different however I was amazed how many had arrived by Saturday night, almost as many as last year on the Sunday, can't beat the lure of a decent weather forecast! Fortunately the Jago stand is the first one through the main entrance so I sit down with my breakfast and see everything coming in, beats walking around the whole showground. JAE has the same problem as Stoneleigh as we were packing up ready to leave there on the last day they were still taking the full admisson fee on the gate even though half the show had gone.

I am, used to go years ago but this will be the first time as an owner of a kit car. The Scamp I bought needs a rebuild but hopefully I will find a few useful parts and be ale to look at the cars on the club stand. With any luck I will be driving it to the show next year but there is a lot to do.

Yeah, I'll be there on the Sunday hopefully depending which day my mate wants to go on and the Rickman stand is the first on the left opposite the Jago stand if it makes it there, that is.

Don't forget that if you turn up in a kit car or a car that could be passed off as one, you'll get in for free.
