]The time has come to sell my golf as I am in need of a van to be more practical.
Has 12 months MOT and will probably have 6 months tax by the end of this week too. Only advisories were brake pads wearing but IMO they should hold up for quite a while yet.
I've had the golf since december and it has been used daily without much fault either, except it did have a cutting out problem which I threw a load of parts at the car to fix but turned out to be the hall sensor in the distributor.
Quick spec of the car:
-Porshce Boxter leather front seats
-BBS copy wheels that have been rattle canned black
-Coilover adjustable suspension
-Towbar been professionally fitted a month and a half ago but only been used to carry my motorbike around
-Pioneer headunit
-Remus rear stainless exhaust
-K and N filter
-Weber Carb
-Two new front toyo tyres done about 100miles
-112,000 miles
I've had a lot of new parts fitted since I've owned it and have receipts to prove. When I had the cutting out issue I put on a new fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel filters, coil and finally new distributor which cured it. It's also had new front top mounts, new front wishbone, new cv joint/driveshaft and new anti roll bar drop links. It had a service before I bought it including new plugs, oil and belts etc.
The car is by no means mint but isn't bad at all. The body work has very minimal rust. The worst is on the drivers door (typical mk2 golf) and is a scab about the size of a 50p coin at a rough guess. There is also a dent in the offside rear quarter which isn't too bad really. One of the wheels that has been rattle canned when I cleaned the car the hose pipe managed to fetch the paint off unfortunately but the rest are fine.
Mechanically the car is pretty sound, no crunches into second gear and it goes and stops rather well. If anything it could probably do with some new anti roll bar droplinks as being so low it does tend to be a bit harsher on them.
I've got a folder with plenty of paperwork in.
Pictures speak a thousand words...
I'm after a van, that's the reason this is up for sale. So would consider swaps for a transporter/similar sized van.
If not then the asking price is£1100 £1000 £975 ono. The car is located in sheffield and can be viewed.
Cheers
Duncan
