Finally come to the decision to sell up. When I bought this car, I didn't think I'd ever sell it, but I haven't had much use out of it and I have an increasing desire to buy something big, stupid and American so this has to go to create the funds (would only swap for Chevy/GMC Day Van if anyone has one).

Pics - these are old but not a lot has changed:
The car was fully restored a few years ago (rust chopped out and new metal welded in at rear arches, boot and the other usual areas) and I should be able to dig out plenty of pictures that document the work done. I bought the car when it was on 56,000 miles and it's now on just over 60,000.
I have a huge folder of documentation for the car - including old MOTs and various other receipts for work carried out over the years.
Good points:
The wheels are pretty much immaculate and the tyres are like new with at least 6mm tread left. The colour-scheme looks amazing and the interior can't be far off what it looked like in 1986 - it's incredibly clean and has been well looked after.
It comes with an Autowatch immobiliser and alarm - there's one key for the car and two fobs.
For my asking price, I'll throw in a set of JDM/USDM rear lights - like the ones seen on the supercharger models. These generally fetch £150.
I've owned the car since 2010. Recently, the following work has been carried out:
New clutch
Alternator refurbished
New alternator belt
New cambelt
New timing belt tensioner bearing
New rear break calipers
New thermostat
New engine bleed valve
New valve stem seals
New headgasket (head skimmed too)
New windscreen
General service items including:
New rotor arm
New distributor cap
Oil/ oil filter and air filter changes
If I realise I've missed anything out I'll update the advert.
I also have a receipt for a new bumper bar from when the car was restored by the previous owner. There are also various other receipts going back over 10 years to around 36,000 miles.
The car is due another service so I'll have this done before it goes - this'll include new plugs, oil and filter.
Bad points:
Despite having been restored in the past, there are some imperfections with the bodywork of the car. Structurally it's about as sound as they come and it does look great but the person who restored it before did a much better job of welding than he did of painting! It's hard to show in pictures so it's best to come and see it in person but basically the roof is a little rough in texture and if you look closely you can see where the lower grey half has been masked off. There's also some slight flaking of paint in a few small areas - namely one of the rear corners/mudflaps and on the front bumper where it has flexed.
A while ago, somebody decided to try and break into the car via the passenger door. In doing-so, the handle was ripped off and the metal bar inside the door which opens the catch popped off. I've refitted the door-handle, but the barrel for the lock is still missing and the door can only be opened from inside the car. I re-attached the bar once before but it just popped off again.
Other points:
Given the general condition of the car and the amount of work carried out in my ownership, I think the asking price is pretty fair. If you have some wheels that you can put on the car (4x100 fitment) then I'll happily reduce the price by £300 by keeping the wheels.
Any questions - drop me a PM or contact me on the phone number above.
Cheers!
