To be honest, it probably would have got us pulled over here, too.
Thankfully luck was on our side and we didn't have any run-ins. It was all 'technically' legal. But whether or not they'd consider it a safe load is another thing. According to the laws for trailers, that car trailer can have almost 2.5m of tat hanging off the back of it, as long as it has an orange/red cloth of 40x40cm tied to the back. o.O
The copper Minor stands as is;
Motor - running sweet, just need to clean the radiator out some more and drop some better oil in after a flush once it's done a few K's
Brakes - need to put front hubs and brakes back on, and install shoes and new cylinders on the rear. Also need to run new brake lines at least to the rear. And still have to clean up the master cylinder
Suspension - seems to be ok for now. Could probably do with new bushes soon, though
Other bits that need attention before it'll get a RWC are the wipers (currently doing nothing), lights (have headlights and front indicators but changing this set up anyway. Swapped the rear lights back to the original ones but haven't wired it up yet as was planning on running new wire neater), and it also needs seatbelts! I think that's the major things. I'm hoping to have the brakes and lines done by the time Jono gets back from Singapore - damn them for going without me! - so he can give me some guidance when I rewire the things.
At the moment I'm not sure what many of the switches do as they don't really hold their original functions, and there's also the stalks on the steering wheel (which I want to get rid of too), so a rewire will help sort all this out, and also I shall install some sound that I purchased recently.
So still a bit of a list, but I will plod along dillegently...

Cheers,
Matt
