Green mini cooper or replica . Registration ended in Y , supalight 12" alloys, sills looked like they were going . On the back of the ugliest flat bed ever .Thought it was a transit but it was a iveco , ugly front end . Cab was white , flat bed area red . Going past Didcot , Oxfordshire southbound at about 09.00 21/07/14.
First - Renault 5 GT Turbo (Mk II Renault 5), dark metallic blue, no plates on it, on the back of a distinctive silver LDV Convoy beavertail/recovery truck heading Southbound near Heathrow on the M25. LDV was ALL silver, bed and cab, and had small round driving lights on the bumper. Didn't get the plate as I was fighting traffic jams.
Second - a Mk 1 Escort also heading southbound on the M25, south of Heathrow, yellow with wide arches. Didn't get any other info as I was heading North.

About 11am this morning, on the Redbridge roundabout, heading onto the A406 North Circular westbound or M11 northbound. Beige Volvo 240 estate, looked in good nick, with two large spotlamps on the front. Pretty sure the transporter was an Iveco, but I did notice that the reg. of it was a personalised reg starting HGV, and had no suffix.
Probably nothing but putting up here in case anyone spots a reference to this car online anywhere.
I've just driven a mile or so behind a white pickup towing a trailer with an immaculate MGB GT painted in Gulf blue with an orange stripe. It is unusual in that it has nicely fitted bolt on wheel arch extensions rather than the usual Sebring wide arches.
What worries me is that it was sat on its floorpan (no wheels) and wasn't well secured as amongst other things the tailgate was bouncing open on the poor road surface. Struck me as odd that having taken so much care to create this bodyshell it was now being transported so as to risk damage.
This was spotted on the B5246 heading east towards the A59 in West Lancashire. I have some details of the trailer if need be and dashcam footage.
I do hope I'm being overly suspicious and this is all totally legit.
M25 clockwise, approaching A21 junction at about 10.30am. Bright orange Mk2 Escort Mexico with what I think are called 'forest arches' and Cibié spots. On a trailer behind a white Merc Sprinter, signwritten for FVR, which Google says is Folkestone Vehicle Rentals.
Keele services, M6 Northbound at 3am today. Herald or Vitesse, possibly blue, on a beavertail. Almost certainly innocuous, as the truck was showing more red lights than the back streets of Amsterdam! Hardly inconspicuous.
No pic, but spotted a red Lada (Niva?) on the back of a hi-ab in Wallington back streets, Monday (01/12/14) evening about 5:30pm. Driver wasn't hanging about and took an illogical route which I thought a bit suspicious. Memory was only good enough to note the reg of one so went with the hi-ab reg: W112NHB
