It's no secret that despite all my enthusiasm, I'm a bit rubbish at buying cars cars of a quality nature. This has been the case for at least 16 years. Thanks to some encouragement from my other half, I've decided to - in chronological order - document my automotive failures for your reading pleasure. And seeing as they're almost exclusively retro, I thought it might be worth posting here so you can have a read. You can find it HERE. Enjoy! And for your time, here's a smattering of my automotive misgivings... Chris

You have had some wibblepoo over the years but the anecdotes that they have created have filled me with many a giggle.

Lol! i think we've all had some epic failures. mine usually come down to buying bangers on a budget. i go and look at them through Rose tinted specs, assure myself that the few little things that need doing (ahem) will only take 5 minutes and come away with a complete dog that I spend the month or so that it's still wheezing along, beating myself up for buying it and repeat the cycle over and over. It's like an automotive Groundhog day

In all my years of doing this forum and attending shows I've never seen a worse car than that black monstrosity... I look forward to Pollitt's entry on that, I need to understand the warped mental process that not only purchased it but that also thought it was drivable!

The the cold sweats set in and I have to rock back and forth in the corner. Chris Oh, and it was (and presumably still is, somewhere in Milton Keynes) a 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, this one in fact... Chris
