Pressurised bottle tucked underneath, wheel hinged and a small pneumatic ram to bring the wheel up and down.
Dial pressure in, push around.. come to a halt, let the pressure out, drop to the floor.
Yeah, I'm over-thinking it.

Might as well throw some hydraulics on the bucket then, so you don't have to lift it up to empty it.

I'll never look at a wheelbarrow in the same way again! If you ever make a V3, I think an extended front chassis "rat rod" barrow would be pretty swish.

It's been a good year at the allotment so far. Plenty of potatoes and too many courgettes! (firstworldproblems) Sawdust to add to the compost: Monster courgettes Next idea for a modification came from this metro cabriolet in the scrapyard I had thought about making the wheelbarrow air ride by using all sorts of fancy parts, with an air tank and buttons on the handles but these seemed so much simpler and cheaper Evicting the spiders Brackets made from box steel Trial fit I welded the fittings that I unbolted from the metro in place and clipped the struts on but I had the front 'wishbone' on upside down so got the grinder out and started again Sorted Now I need to make some sort of latch so that when I push down on the front end it stays down.
