Right, a bit of background... I've always loved the old Alpine 'six button' decks since I started driving in 1992. I've got a pull-out tape one in my Metro Turbo but always wanted a CD version. I got lucky and snagged a 7903M a couple of months back.
Looking into it needs external amps to run and although I don't mind running one amp to power an old Pyle bass tube and have two or three Alpine amps from the same era, I'm not sure I really want a "bootful of amps, ain't no room for a spare" (bonus points if you know where that lyric came from...). It's always been about the look for me, although the sound is quality in every sense, and not about what the Alpine stuff is worth. That said, to my surprise I think they're starting to get a bit collectable and if it's worth a fair amount then perhaps I should source one that has an internal amp.
So, what's it worth? It's complete but untested. Has a bit of wear to one of the buttons on the front.
Rubbish phone pic here...
I can't imagine much more than 50 quid really and for that I'd keep it. Am I wrong?
