Hi Guys and Girls

I'm sorry for not having a super amount of info on this car, i will be able to find out more info after the week end.

Basically my mum has got a second car now and cannot afford to run this one and due to it not having mot or tax she cant keep it sat on the road, she is a little upset at the thought of having to scrap it as it has been very reliable and faithful car to her over the years she has owned, so i said i would pop it on here and see if some one could make use of it and pop a little extra cash in her pockets before Christmas.

Its a 2.0 ecotec and has electric everything, alloy wheels, 7 Seats (vauxhall installed boot seats with belts) Its green and its an auto.

I spent many weeks bombing around in this and it is very compfy, if i had the money to run a second car i would snap it up in a heart beat, i think all it will need for an mot is break pads as the break warning is up on the dash.

Had one of these, a diesel though, Super motors, great load luggers and one of the comfiest cars I have ever driven. And yes 7 seater, not seen many around with the additional seats, worth the asking price on there own, very rare.

I would have been tempted to buy this, but the distance, no MOT is a problem.

Get some interior pics up, it will help the sale, especially the extra rear seats.

Cracking bargain is that.

With these, it's always worth putting up a couple of pics of the rear arches (with the back doors open).

Notorious weak spot, as they were on the Carltons.

Just a small point, it's a 97 model not 99 as in tne title, still a good buy.

Really cant believe this hasn't gone yet.

I really want to keep it, but cant see my self having the time or the moolah to insure and collect it.

The millage is 135k, and the alarm was disabled by the AA and my mum has since lost the fob. Central locking all still works on the key and the cars starts runs etc just no alarm, the car will also need a good jump start as the battery has gone flat, turns over slowly but just doesn't have enough to catch.

Do you know if there were any advisories on the last mot?
I've convinced myself I'd really like this, but convincing the Mrs is a different story though.

I am interested, does the ABS light come on when you switch on the ignition, then go out? That means the ABS can pass the MOT. Is there another light which just warns about the pad thickness?
Any other warning lights on, or missing?
When you remove the oil filler cap while she's ticking over, does the smoke come out?
Sorry to be picky, these little things make it worth seeing for me, or not, cheers for that.

Hi guys sorry for not replying over the weekend, i was away.

Because I'm adverising this for my mum and don't live near her anymore its a little tricky to answer questions, but ill do my best.

For the last mot, it failed on misted headlights and a blowing exhauat, new lights were bought and the exhaust welded. As far as I'm aware this was all that was wrong.

The abs light comes on and switches off its just a case of the computer saying brakes which makes me think its just pads.

There were no other warning lights on last time i checked and she didnt seem to smoke. My mum was quite good at keeping her serviced and looked after, i believe she has a fair bit of history with the car.

I'm trying to talk my Mrs into selling my Grand Voyager and buying this, thereby freeing up a bit of dosh for Christmas.
Hard work though, but I'll keep at it.

I'd still love this, but being unable to get holidays or time off from my job during November and December (retail), means I haven't got the time to go from Rainham to Southampton to collect it.
The second major obstacle is selling my Grand Voyager to fund it. Cars don't sell well at this time of year.
I hope the Omega doesn't end up getting fragged, it looks far too good for that.
Can someone buy this please? I can stop fretting then.
