OK. No worries. Never mind the ratrod, this is my favourite car from that issue, owned by a Mitsubishi UK Employee and photographed at Rockingham. A Lancer 2000 Turbo.

Great read, thanks for sharing. The 'Isle of Nan TT' article made me laugh and I loved some of the helmet ideas.

What a cool thing. Well done.
Ha, ha, ratrod or rat-rod, it doesn't matter. It only matters if you've got both spellings in the same article. Consistency is key.. and depends on house style.

Since we have a member of the Motorpunk staff on hand I'd like to ask how to get involved with the magazine. I know how to oversteer and how to use an apostrophe so I've got the major automotive journalism qualifications. Can you send me on an assignment somewhere? I wish I got to do stuff like this but I live in the cultural wastelands of Tyne and Wear so I'm isolated from anything creative or adventurous. I love banger rallies and road trips but all of my friends are the property of the local factories and call centres. Help me escape!!

You can drop us an email if you like - typist@motorpunk.co.uk. If you've got something interesting, unusual and entertaining that is motoring related and fits with what we're doing then we'll take a look. We're not exactly Evo, but if you've read the mag, you'll already know that. FWIW; You'd make new friends on any roadtrip or banger rally anyway, get off your and enjoy an adventure or two.

In issue 1 of MotorPunk we retraced Paddy Hopkirk's '64 Monte Carlo win. What we didn't mention at the time was that the XCAR camera team came along and we filmed a little documentary. It's on YT now if anyone is interested. Feedback most welcome, we're on a steep learning curve here!

December's issue is out, we've been having fun in an Elise Club Racer on a mad dash to France, raced a Toyota GT86 in the Toyota sprint series and learned how to crack a safe. There's also stuff on the BMW E21 and the Ferrari F50. As mentioned previously, we're new to all this, so feedback good and bad is most welcome please. Do you like the cover? It's a bit different to the usual stuff. Mag can be launched here : www.motorpunk.co.uk Cheers

Here's the slightly hungover January issue > www.joomag.com/magazine/motorpunk-january-2014/0126845001389004253Cars featured this month include: A Marcos, MGB GT V8, TVR Chimaera and Cerbera, Saab 99, a curse word F1 car, a badly photoshopped Alan Sugar's RR Ghost, a Morgan and other stuff. We'd really appreciate your feedback, good and bad, we're still new to this magazine publishing malarky!

Contrary to popular opinion, I do have mechanical sympathy, I always feel sorry for the cars I drive.

February's issue is out now, read for free online here > www.joomag.com/magazine/motorpunk-february-2014/0647114001391179115The main feature is a daft stunt we did in December, I scrounged a Lotus Exige S and we raced it against an inverted stuntplane, just for kicks. Great fun until we got busted by the HSE. Also there's a review of the Jaguar XK8 and Ferrari 512iBB, a feature about Outrun, stuff on sledges, a trip to the Donington bike show, some made up letters and a transcript of timewaster annoying some ambulance chasers. There's info and a taster of the 'car club 18-30' summer trackday too plus some vintage car adverts instead of modern car adverts. No watch stories, no car insurance adverts, no pop-ups, no banner ads and no need to register to read. I hope you like it. Feedback, good, bad and ugly always welcome. Thanks.

April's issue is out now. There's a free MG6 inside. Kind of. There's also a rally spec Rolls Royce, the ultimate 'built v blagged' duel where I race a mates turbo'd Robin with a Moggy 3 wheeler, stuff on the Epsirt V8, the Fiat 131 and other stuff and nonsense. We're still learning, so your feedback, good and bad, is most welcome. Read for free online here..

I stumbled across this mag sometime in January and think it's really cool. I don't quite get why it's called Motorpunk, as said earlier the whole Tally-ho wartime speak thing isn't exactly in keeping with the punk title. But yes it's rad and I will read the latest issue on my day off on Sunday. Keep it up chaps.

Nice coverage of the Retro Cars thingy at Rockingham, but FYI: Retro Cars and Retro Rides are two different things.
