While I'm working away the car is in for full underside restoration with Torques performance and having braided fuel and brake lines fitted. they work fast - this was day 1 Front arches stripped down: Underside stripped down: All the bolts have gone off for re-zinc plating and everything else is off to the powder coaters. New polybush kit should be with them today and a set of Gaz coilovers. Will be changing the brake servo etc. over at the same time. The floor was covered in sealant which revealed a few small holes to tackle but on the whole was pretty good apparently. Floor will go red with red bushes and everything bolted to it black. Just got to get it back together for Ultimate Stance at the end of the month as its on the pink wheel whores carpet.

Did you get the Wilwood 4pots to fit under the 13's??? Would be interested in a setup like that for my XR2 race car.

Looks good.
What kind of price was it to convert the wheels? I now have some spare pepperpots that I wouldn't mind getting done.
What petrol tank did you use on this?

Hi Phil i used an old new stock injection fuel tank. Believe it or not they did do a mk2 with injection. But to be honest i still need a swirl pot as mine bogs down when under 1/8 tank petrol through the bends. The wheels were made by voodoo motorsport. The cost is difficult to say as i already sourced a set of BBS barrels and lips and Elie didn't charge me very much at all for the machining. It also depends on the quality of the bits you have and whether you need a fixing kit. CR customs quoted me 1500 sourcing everything for reference.

I didnt think i had it in me either as i have a ramp in my unit but not the time. I'm out the country working on a good crack so thought curse word it someone else can do it. #
Not sure on the diesel tank. Torques are playing around with an engine bay based pumping system that may do the trick.

I was told not to bother with those repro injection tanks hence why I asked, I thought you may have used a viable alternative. I am approaching needing one to run my zetec fiesta but it appears to do it right you need to make your own or find someone who is selling a self built one. The wheels are cool. Cool price tag though, I could buy some cxn's for my cossy for that kind of money.

So are your wheels still 13"?
I have a set of std 3 spokes for my fiesta Rs turbo.
Id like to split them, but also go up to 15" of possible for tires choice. I know Id have to go 3 piece as opposed to 2 piece ( I take it yours only have the outer barrel?
Really wanna look into this some more as I think it really adds to the car in a oem+ sort of fashion

Mine go from a 13x6 stock pepperpot to a 15x6.25 roughly
I used a set of BBS RS barrels (5.5 wide) and a set of RZ lips (0.5 wide) so they are a 3 piece rim.
Most people end up going up 2 inches rather 1. I thought your 3 spokes would be 14" so you may have to go to 16" but maybe not.
I wanted mine face mounted with hidden hardware for more OEM+ but there wasnt enough thickness in the wheel without welding them up which we didnt have time to do
The good thing about mine is if i buy a capri i will run some serious dishes on them ha ha

Cheers for the reply. That's exactly the sort of info I was after.
Looking at the design of the 3 spoke they've got quite a deep 'boarder ' so plenty to machine down into. Don't really mind how there mounted hardwear wise.
I just hate the way the car sits on the 3 spokes as standard. But think they'd look so good as splits.
Id happily leave them as 14 and just make them a 2 piece put wider.
I may well be in touch a bit more in the future.

Would you have a picture of the fuel pump mounting position and the pipe that connects it to the tank?

Hi Phil, A threaded fitting was welded to the tank in order to come straight out into torques fuel fittings. Its running an uprated bosch pump that will cope with any future plans for the car. Even though this tank is from a mk2 with injection it will suffer a bit of starvation if under a quarter of a tank on a bend so if your building a track car i would run an external swirl pot

If there was somewhere to put a swirl pot without going in the boot like everyone does I would do it. This seams to be the only way to do it with nothing in the boot. If I go on track I will put plenty of fuel in. I would rather do that than have fuel pumps etc a few inches from the kids when they are in the car.
Thanks for the pictures. I have just ordered everything I think I need to sort the fueling side of mine out.

Torques have developed a swirl pot system for under the bonnet i think
