On its way to a new happy home - cheers all
Hi all,
Withdrew this from sale last time but now circs have changed and it must go. The car needs additional work - specifically the clutch master cylinder needs re-bleeding as the pedal has gone soft again. Car has been garaged since being advertised last time so will need a jump. The price is now a bottom dollar £500 abnd car is SORN. Alternatively I'll consider breaking if there's enough interest in bits (interior/ BBS/ moonroof/ Weber carb/ decent dash etc).
Otherwise as below - thanks, Nick
2 door chromie with manual transmission. I'm in Mirfield West Yorks. Read on...
90k - 6 owners but owner before me had it 15 years. I acquired it about 18 months ago when he passed on.
Test until July 14th '14/ tax until Jan 1st '14 so drive away.
Colour - Karmine red (burgundy/ maroon) with bronze tint glass and I've added a tan leather sport interior and BBS. Not many options ticked on the original spec list but weirdly, has a dealer fit manual moonroof - very nice. Has also had a Weber carb conversion which is working fine. No power steering but not needed/ missed IMHO.
It will need a patch on the front of the passenger side sill and there's some filler to the front of the drivers rear arch and a bit at the edge of the rear valance but, as the photos hopefully show, this is a pretty car with bags of potential to improve further. There are a few dings and bits of rust commensurate with age and use but the only advisory on the last MOT was for a soft brake pedal. The fluid needs changing ideally but I haven't the ramps/ stands needed to change and bleed properly. The car has been a commuter for me for the past 18 months and apart from clutch master cyl failing (now replaced) has been totally reliable.
Any q's - drop me a pm. I'll answer asap but not on here 24/7 these days. Don't want to write war and peace for an £800 quid motor. Theres a link to a photobucket album with plenty more pics below.
This could be a very cool chromie in the right hands
Cheers, Nick.
