To assuage fears of me stretching myself too thin and the Princess being neglected, I can inform you that purchase and saving of this car has so far involved at least 6 people including myself, all of whom have a vested interest in seeing it sorted. It's not going to be a one-man-show and that's really the only reason it's getting saved. Also, some of the funds are coming from the sale of the red Princess, which is also a complicated agreement that would only work amongst enthusiasts and never in the real world.
I don't want to go into the exact details of how the deal is working, but it's working and that's all you need to know. I am skint, but I'm less skint than I was, but still massively skint. Beige Princess is actually in really good shape now and I've got a little update coming up shortly on that front (check my signature for the thread if you've missed it).
The point of the little 6 is that it's DIRT CHEAP in every way and it'll take some of the stress off me and the Princess around town. The cost of running it alongside the Princess can be rationalised, but only to an enthusiast and while technically it'll mean I have three cars, only one is costing me anything at the moment as two of the cars are having a little rest, as it were.
As for the roof, yes, sadly it has been strap lifted but it appears to have only damaged the gutters and dented the roof a little, it's not caused any terminal looking damage and if I can fix a Princess with a Maestro I can probably fix the 6 with a hammer and a block of wood. Have faith, this is a semi-calculated risk.
