Here is my new toy. I went to have a look at it this morning and fell in love with it! It didn't go exactly at planned as the starter/solenoid has failed and it won't start without a bump. This didn't really phase me seeing as it's 48 years old it's entitled to a little stubbornness We bumped it an I drove it and it drove really well, it pulls well, the gears are positive once you've memorised where they are and the steering box... Well it feels like a steering box. Unfortunately I didn't get to take it home cause the old chap wants to sort the starting issue first so we shook on a price and I left with all the paperwork. Here she is, I've named her Olga I just can't wait to go pick her up now, I'm a tiny bit scared he'll change his mind but he seemed like a decent bloke so hopefully it'll all go smoothly.

Cool thanks, that was the first thing I thought to look for also the same stud pattern as 5 stud Japanese cars (although pretty much nothing would suit!) I'd love a set of Slotmags, they are my favorite wheel, I was also thinking about banding though...... Found some 100mm lowering springs too hehe.

If fitting other wheels, watch out for offset / backspacing issues. Standard wheels are 15x4J (4.5J on estates) with an offset of 25mm and the backspacing is approximately 3 3/4". Even with the standard size 165/80r15 tyres, clearance off the front inner wings is tight when on full lock. Due to the offset / backspacing, it is highly unlikely that any modern wheels of the same pcd will be suitable, and using spacers is made more complicated / expensive due to longer wheel studs being very expensive (apparently the studs have a strange shank size - also the front discs and rear drums are a press fit onto the hubs, and new ones are usually supplied on an exchange hub....). Now, I'm not saying don't fit other wheels, but do your research carefully! Most of the US Ford 5 x 4 1/2" classic / hotrod stuff should be ok, provided that you match the backspacing as closely as possible. E.g. 17x7J Torq Thrust 2s seem to be a relatively popular fitment. Oh, and slotmags do look good on Amazons - this is mine a few years ago. Now back on regular wheels though, as those Ansen Sprints ate wheel bearings (15x7J, but offset of minus 20!!!).
