Hi all, I'm excited again and those that know me will know why... and just how excitable I get.. I think when I was born something strange happened which means that 80's nostalgia runs through my veins! Well I've gone and bought another car, usually I wouldn't be too excited but this one is special... It's a 92' Bedford Rascal Van, equipped with the 1.0 Suzuki 4 cylinder petrol, 77,000 genuine miles to add to...Dunlop safety alloys, twin!! Sliding doors [one with dent] Why is that special you ask? Because I plan on using it as my daily works van? Yes. Because I plan on doing to it what RetroRides members do best? Yes. Because I plan on starting up an ambitious Courier business using this small [but nippy] little van? Yeah go on, that too... Well I guess this is probably exciting to me but not to everyone... No pictures yet as It's been a long day... [Now dark and raining] The Plan: -MoT -Tax -Insure -New radiator? -Lower slightly -Polish -Sign write? -Towbar? Will update soon... Sorry for the Lack of Pictures

Sports Van! The Engine is in the middle like a supercar, It's RWD like a supercar, It's Revvy like a supercar... Maybe Bedford are hiding something?

She's got a few little niggles I need to sort before the MoT, Brake lights and washers blocked but otherwise she's roadworthy! If anyone has any parts for sale please feel free to contact me, I'm after a blue side door to replace the dented one and a Drivers seat as it has been welded in place! [Possibly a radiator too if a decent one comes up, this one has a pinhole that seems to be fixed with radweld...] Cheers in advance! Ben

Cool vans. I've got a very rare set of rear light protectors (metal bars that surround the rear lights) and also a really sweet little bull bar thing too that I'm looking to sell, all original Bedford/Suzuki accessories. Now that I've sold mine, I've no longer got a need for them. I'll see if I can find some pics for you.

Mystery MachineThat would be great mate! I was thinking of light protectors funnily enough... lukeevangelouThat is a pity, looks like a similar van to mine! Just need to get rid of the darn'Look at me' #SWAG 'WHY SO SERIOUS?' Decals from the back of mine :/

I recognise that van. I was watching that on ebay with a very itchy bidding finger. Looked like a good buy

So after a few calls to insurance companies it looks like I won't get insured on my Rascal... I was told by my Insurance Policy with my Mini that I had to be 19 and have held a licence for one year... The only company that would cover me wanted over £6000 so it looks like I'm going to have to sell my Little van :/ I'm Reet Annoyed.

That sucks about the insurance.
How bad is that dent in the side door?

The dent is not too bad, the door still opens and closes fine, could probably be pulled out...
Just tried a few other cars that took my fancy, MX5=No Go, Rascal=No Go, Range Rover=No Go Nova 1.2=£2600... I hate this.
